Seriously I do not know... Never had a ring tone, other than one that my phone came with.

However... I did read an article, that FREE RING TONE web sites is one of the best places for you to get a computer virus?

Actually, you could have your ringtone be an mp3 file of a mating call of the animal you're trying to kill. I've also heard about teenagers having extremely high-pitched ringtones that older people (who have lost that range of hearing) can't hear, perhaps you could make your ringtone be a tone outside of the range that your animal of choice can hear?

As for the topic at hand, no. I've always just made them myself and uploaded them to my phone the hard way.

Google "make your own ringtones" there's a site called myxer.com/make

if you got songs on your cpu, u can upload it, scan the area of the song you'd like as your ringtone and it sends you the media to your cell phone, free of charge. Works for backgrounds too but I haven't figured out how to shrink the image so it fits my phone.

That depends on the phone. Most phones nowadays except for the uber el-cheapos can accept mp3 files as ringtones, and there's no reason to choose midi above mp3.

myxer.com is a great site, you use your own music files and upload them to your phone via text message, its free to register and recommend it highly, im not computer savy and had no problem figuring it out !!
