Okay, got to thinking why I found it so hard to root against Favre this year. And realized part of the reason is I just don't want Peyton Manning to win anything.

Hence this poll...

It's Peyton, if you ask me.

Favre is great, but take him off that team, and you still have a team that could win the NFC North crown. He also has an amazing supporting cast. They're good at nearly every position.

Manning, on the other hand, is that team. If Peyton goes down, they'll lose in the first round of the play-offs.

Drew Brees should be up there, as well, but I just don't think that he'll beat out Peyton.

OK, you know my prejudices. I hate Manning. I love Favre.

But let's be real. A few weeks ago, I had Manning, Brees, Favre in that order.

A few weeks changes everything. Last two weeks, who I thought was the best RB in the NFL was stopped and the Vikings still managed to whomp the teams they played. Now I think AP has dropped to #2. Uh oh, don't tell Formo I said that.

Manning on the other hand has thrown 2 INTs per game three games in a row, and I'm really trying not to sound like a dick saying this, but Lady Luck has bailed out the Colts this year big time.

Now Brees is continually Drew Brees. He's so dang consistent, and the MVP is all about Most Valuable Player, meaning without this player, the team folds. Lose Brees and the Saints fold.

So really tough call here. As of 11/30/09, the order has completely reversed and it's Favre, Brees, Manning.

Still a few games left. This is one of those that are too close to judge. Ask me again in a few weeks.

I say you take Favre off that team and they are back to a 8-8 team. Look everyone thought the wrs were junk and now look. Manning if you think runs the colts so he has to be up there.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

You may want to update this to include Vince Young if they knock off the Colts next week...

And Chris Johnson, if you ask me.

If that team makes some kind of miracle run and gets into the play-offs, while Chris Johnson sets the single season record for rushing yards (unlikely, I know), he just has to be it.

I thought AP would be the best RB up until at least 2013-2014. Just the thought of a RB even better than AP is incredible. Of course we have to include Chris Johnson.

I saw it close 3 weeks agobut as Brees and Manning are adding up picks Brett has a 24-3 ratrio. 3 int's for Brett is just crazy

Brett is IMHO a "Big Head" and shoulders above any other candidate right now. His numbers are lethal, he is playing smart.

Right NOW. At this point he deserves the MVP if an MVP should actually be an award for what it is... an MVP and not an MVP for his team.

He should get the award just for the fact His Name Is Brett Favre and has thrown 3 INT's at this point of the season.
