Say what you will about Al, but there is NO doubting his heart and his desire. If this IS indeed the end, I am proud to say he was a Packer.

All the people who were trashing him earlier will find out how much this guy meant to our entire defensive makeup...

I agree. I've watched him for years and only saw him bad in two games - against the Cows in '07 and against the Giants in the CG of '07. That's it. Other than that, he's been solid. He's someone I won't take for granted. We'll miss him.

I still don't know how people can blast Harris for the '07 games mentioned above. A lot of those passes were very well placed to bigger receivers who made a good play.

There's some plays that no matter who you are, you can't defend. It's a sign of a good play. And with all the rules favoring the offense, is it really that hard to fathom that?

Noted.

Even so, my point was losing matchups in only two games from the past how many years is pretty dang impressive.

I'm not shy about pinning blame on someone, but I strongly feel after watching those plays quite a few times that not even Deion Sanders could have done much better.

I'm of the belief that it was a better play by the QB and WR than it was bad play by Harris.

My gripe on Harris is he seems to be lost at times when the ball is thrown. I don't like it when he's looking up and the ball is landing in the WR hands.

I was watching this game over at a friends house (we live in N. Cal hes a 9er fan) and when word came down that harris tore his ACL I said hell be back in 6 months! After the "career ending" spleen injury last year, I just knew that whatever thoughts Harris might of had about hanging them up after this year, went away as soon as the acl tore. Harris is a fighter and maybe has more heart than anyone else I have seen play the game. No way he would end his career like this.

Harris is due to make $2.5 million next season, which isn't astronomical for a starting CB. He'll get every opportunity to rehab and come back next year.

He's been a very solid corner for us, and even despite his age, was probably at least going to play out his contract with the Packers.

He's a bigger loss then Kampman imo, and it's going to put our depleted young secondary to the test for the rest of the season without him in there.

Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : Didn't they have a thing in 2023 for Jimmy's ring of honor? I swear I saw it
beast (8-Jan) : Though if they're legitimately trying to re-sign MM, then it makes sense.
beast (8-Jan) : Jerry Jones still hasn't put Jimmy Johnson in the Ring of Honor, but he's in the NFL's Hall of Fame, Jones is petty
Mucky Tundra (8-Jan) : Unless the Cowboys are planning an extension, seems kinda petty
beast (8-Jan) : Cowboys denied Bears request
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : From what I'm reading, MM is under contract through the 14th of January; after that he's free game
