Thanksgiving is less than a week away. I saw this post on another website (Non Packers Zero ::wink: ) and thought it interesting enough to bring here.

I use to ask my children this before we would eat:
What are you thankful for?
I will begin-

The Lord God Almighty, my wife and children, the rest of my family (except that one brother-in-law ::wink: j/k), the young men and women who are in harm's way on our behalf, good friends that I know in person or via the wide world web, the nation as a whole, my job.

oh my...this got me thinking!

having God's presence in my life

my boys (life would have no meaning without them)

my dad (who taught me more than he ever realized & shaped the person i am today)

my husband & new stepson (i learn from them constantly)

the small group of incredible friends i've made over the years (you guys included)

I am thankful for my life opportunity (college right now)
My Family
A roof over my head
Pumpkin pie that I will be consuming ( I almost finished the whole thing last year, going for the record this year 🙂 )

This list could be a mile long... but I will list a few.

The glory of my Lord and Jesus Christ
My beautiful wife.
My wonderful and amazing children.
My family
Friends in my everyday life.. here included.
Having secure employment in such a certain economic times.

And due to life circumstances, the appreciation of awareness of the passed over things in life that we take for granted.. grounding your priorities in a heartbeat.

For all those that serve this country to make it what it has been and hopefully will always be.. the land of opportunity.
