Pleased this thread is up and running. It is always the best read on game week.
I once read somewhere that after a tough loss, the chance to get on the road is a blessing. A time to bond, to focus, and to build without all of the personal distractions of home. It also is especially good to be traveling, boding, focusing, and building when you are 10 point favorites.
I think the second half of last week is a foundation this team can build on going into next week. There is no doubt that, like all of us in game day Packer Chat... there was a major rise in energy on the Packers sidelines as there was in the chat room.
This is something to build on. If they were blown out in the second half like they were in the first it would be a different team getting on the plane Friday.
Perhaps two losses to the Vikings and being behind them so far at this point of the season is the best thing for this team. Now they can focus on a single goal that is attainable. Making the playoffs. Sometimes one needs a single goal with the other option being total failure (Not Making The Playoffs.) to be focused.
When they do that.... When they focus on that single goal of making the playoffs... When they accomplish that. Well, the slate is rubbed clean. They can be the Wild Card Superbowl Champions.
Last weekend, the great come back, the almost.. That can be powerful. It can be the birth of a group of individuals who come together as one. A team that just jelled... based on a set back, and a belief that came with a brilliant come back that just fell a little short, early in the season.
Sometimes a road trip is a perfect remedy. A hotel bed can keep one awake long enough to think about what is important.
