Clay has a chance to be special, you can just see the kid has an ability to do it all. He can cover, he can rush the passer, and he can stick his nose in and stop the run. I love the passion and aggression he plays with, once this Defense starts clicking we may have something special. If we can get that pass-rush heavy LOLB(Kindle-Texas, Hughes-TCU(in the current mock i've been working on), Norwood- SC) opposite Matthews, then he can do even more damage.

I'll need to see the same production consistently. I was burned by Hawk's good rookie season.

I was ecstatic that he got his first start. As the game wore on i was more and more impressed with his level of stamina and still bringing the speed and power. We get Raji in at the RE and some fun stuff is going to happen over there. I'm still concerned about his overall run stopping abilities, time will tell there. But that's why I think him and Hawk make a great duo on that side. CM3 can stay physical and aggresive at the line knowing that he has good support. And when Woody is over there as well, look out. Once all these pieces fit together it's going to be spectacular.

I just like matthews play. When I would see poppinga on the field I felt nothing special would ever happen. But with matthews its been fun to watch his past 2 games. Hope he keeps it up.
