I never said I was feeling good about the quality of football the Vikes have displayed.. Well, kinda. The quality of football my team displayed for the majority of the Ravens game I was impressed with, thus feeling good about. The DBs display in the 4th quarter is a completely different story. You say they 'should be' a certain record, when they are not. Good football teams win close football contests. Good football teams beat teams they are supposed to beat. Both of those categories, the Vikings are passing. What if the Vikings scored a TD in the final 2 minutes of that Ravens game instead of settling for a FG? Or what if they scored 2 TDs in the final half of the 4th? If you guys can play the 'what if' game with that last FG attempt, I can do the same in the opposing direction. Bottom line, my team won, thus I'm happy with. Not with 100% of the performance, but with the record.

And the choke comment about the Packers.. How many playoff appearances have you guys had since your last Super Bowl win, and how many failed Super Bowl wins? 31 teams choke away their season every year. Some choke it away sooner rather than later by not making the playoffs, others wait a bit longer. The longer your team waits to win the big game, the more choke-fest seasons you deal with.

All I wanted you to do was have you admit you are not as good as your record. Never do you guys take the humble approach, and that is why I fricken hate all of you. Viking fans carry unwarranted arrogance, especially when you consider all of the talent that has been pissed away by that organization.

I'll give the 49ers that luck game.. But the Ravens I will refuse. 5-1; 6-0 because we had a horseshoe up Favre's ass.

The Vikings dominated the Ravens 'world class' defense for the majority of that game, and bottom line, the final score is what matters. Last I checked, it was 33-31. 🙂

I thought the same, until I looked into it. Then realized their secondary (minus Reed) is not so great lately. That's when I lost hope, faith, confidence that the Ravens would win. Stupid Vikings, keep winning, wtf is this crap!

Wait, so now I have a requirement on how much I reply with? Fuck! I thought I had ENOUGH shit on my plate. Now I have a minimum on what I say!

I think I'm more surprised that someone wants MORE words from me than anything else. :)

Nah it's just kind of a dick move to reply to my well detailed post with a one-liner in attempt to disprove everything I said. I mean YOU are the one that always asks for explanation and sources so why don't YOU ever give them? I'm not starting to try and start a fight or anything either, I like you but you still irk me from time to time 😛

With yours, that's all that needed to be said. Four quarters to a game. I had nothing further to add. You either see what I'm saying, or don't. I've begun losing my will to explain in great detail to people who appear want nothing more than to argue. Not saying you are, but quite a few and it's boring. now I'm being called a dick. It's crazy how things are around here at times. I don't post sources now? I don't explain myself now? W. O. W.

The Bronco's beating the Bengals in week one, that was luck.
The Ravens beating the Vikings, was not luck. If the Ravens had a better kicker, they win. They didn't, so they lost. btw, did you know the Packers played yesterday and won? Pretty neat eh?

I know how you feel, K. I used to write very long posts regularly around here, but lately it seems like I've said everything I want to say. I haven't had the motivation lately. We keep running the same track over and over.

I go in cycles. It'll come back. It always does.

Give me a break. Now it's the quality of the wins that matter? Did the Steelers dominate every game they were in last year? What about the SB Packer Team?

It's the NFL, not College Football where the point differential matters. Good teams find ways to win close games. Rarely does an NFL team not have any close games however. If I'm a Vikings fan I feel pretty good about the way we played one of the better NFL teams. You guys act like the point differential in the NFL matters. Coaches coach to get a Win in the end, whether it's 100-0 or 3-2.

Not as good as their record? Same can be said about the Packers.

6-0 is 6-0, END OF STORY

I have to wonder what fans you know that are any more arrogant than any typical Packers or Bears fan?

As far as whether the Vikings are as good as their record? It all boils down to how the proverbial ball bounces. There is no doubt we could have lost any of the 6 games we played this season and there is no doubt that we could lose any of the remaining 10 on the schedule. Whether the team goes all the way or misses the playoffs will be determined by the injuries the team suffers and how the proverbial ball bounces in the remaining games. I don't expect 16-0 but 12-4 isn't unrealistic. The Packers could certainly beat us, the Bears could certainly sweep us and the Steelers and Giants could beat us. If that happened and we won every other game we would still be 11-5 and would still probably win the division and improve our record from last year.

In the end the team will be as good as the record indicates when the season ends. Right now they are just doing what it takes to get through each week.
