They should have ordered him back to the locker room to change that jersey. Playing with a bloodstained jersey raises the specter of players around him being exposed to his blood. While the risk of transmission of bloodborne pathogens is no doubt very low, it's just bad etiquette, in my opinion. Not to mention it looks tacky.

The little bit of dried up blood that you can see on his jersey is such a miniscule amount. Not saying it couldn't harm anyone, but with the small amount of open wounds in the NFL, the very slight chance that his upper jersey would contact that wound and the small chance that there will indeed be a disease transmitted, I think that the NFL/team just took the gamble.

Don't get me wrong -- I think his face looks awesome bathed in blood. But he needs to think about his fellow players too. In some sports, blood is cause for an injury timeout. Hell, even boxing refs wear latex gloves these days.

Yes. There's a video on YouTube where he punted the ball short after looking to get a first down. And he botch the kick. He got on the sidelines and started hitting his helmet on his head. It was awesome.
