I'm just glad it wasn't worse then that. Although burns are REAL nasty pain wise.

That sounds pretty bad al. Good thing you were treated immediately. I had a similar thing happen to me (well, sort of).

I tried to ride a skateboard back when I was about 8 or so.

Fell off and landed on my face, scraping the skin off the left half of my face. I missed the Coca Cola factory tour the following day. Luckily no permanent scarring. Going to that factory is still on my To Do list...

Lol. Had something like that as well.

I was about 7 years old I think, and me and my friends made a ramp to ride over on our bikes.

Needles to say, 7 year olds usually don't have enough insight to build a very strong ramp. We pretty much put a piece of plywood on bricks.

Some friends hit it and it all went pretty smoothly. Then, when I was pretty much at the top of it, the bricks collapsed, I fell with my momentum carrying me forward and I scraped my nose on the ground for a meter or two.

I looked like a clown for the next couple of weeks.

Anyway, glad that you're ok, Al.

I think ALL guys have had the "let's build a ramp" time when they are young and stupid.
I did the same thing.
Same results.
LOLOL!!!

actually, i did something like that, but it was on a skateboard and it was a 2x4 with a steel top... i slapped some rocks under it (of course not flat 🙂 i was never smart), and as soon as i hit it the rail slips out from under me, and i whack my head on a rock (the pointy part of course) and got struck right inbetween the legs... it looked kinda like this /|\
i learned to buy stuff from then on

but my leg is doin ok, i walked 2 miles today. gonna try running 1 tomorrow

After my heart surgery, my doctor told me to walk a mile each day for a week, and then to call him and tell him if i felt any better. So i did it, and called him up.

He said "So......how are you feeling Al?"
And i told him "Pretty good Doc..........but now I'm 7 miles away from home."

First-degree (superficial) burns hurt far worse than third-degree (full-thickness) burns, because in superficial burns, the nerve endings are not destroyed and thus have ample opportunity to make you miserable, while in full-thickness burns the nerve endings are destroyed. When someone has third-degree burns, it's actually the second- and first-degree burns around the periphery of the third-degree burns that cause the pain.

Zero2Cool (8-May) : Collin Whitchurch @cowhitchurch · 1h Chicago got a pope before it got a QB to throw for 4,000 yards in a season.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : New Pope from Chicago; in other words, the city produced a Pope before a 4000 yard passer

Zero2Cool (7-May) : beast, you're just one R from being voluptuous.
Zero2Cool (7-May) : And now some Packers blogger is like Doubs to Steelers makes sense!!!!
Zero2Cool (7-May) : You saw me Tweet???

dfosterf (4-May) : FYI civilian companies swipe the S2 designation from the military. S2 is the intelligence branch up to brigade level. G2 is division level.
dfosterf (4-May) : Google it. Make sure to tack NFL on it or you will get the military meaning
Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
beast (4-May) : In theory, the S2 test how quickly a QBs brain can solve game like issues and how quickly they can do it.
dfosterf (4-May) : Are you gentlemen and at least one lady familiar with the S2 cognition
Zero2Cool (4-May) : Maybe there isn't an issue.
beast (4-May) : NFL really needs to fix their position labeling issue, but I don't think they care
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Packers did not activate the fifth-year options for linebacker Quay Walker, with the goal of signing him to a contract extension.
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Matthew Golden spoke with Randall Cobb before draft. Looked like chance encounter.

Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : Packers are exercising the fifth-year option on DT Devonte Wyatt, locking in a guaranteed $12.9M for the 2026 season.

beast (27-Apr) : Thank goodness he's not leaving the Turtle in the Red Tide
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : Cowboys 1st round pick Tyler Booker will indeed be bringing his pet turtle to Dallas with him
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : that contained all prospects info and contact
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : beast, according the Falcons statement Jax came across it on an ipad. If I had to guess, probably an open spread sheet or something
