It wasn't just this game but the NFL in general, I just don't get it. I've seen it happen so many times where a team is out of timeouts and they run a play where it involves a throw in the middle of the field. Whats the point?

And if your going to call a play that is down the middle, at least make it 10 yards or something so that you guarantee yourself time to spike it.

It frustrates me so much everytime I see it, its not a "MM thing" or something, its something the whole NFL does.

Why not just take a safe throw where you can still spike it or go for the end zone or whatever. I didn't see what the best case scenerio was there.

This sucks, I feared that beating the Bears at home when Cutler throws 4 INT's but a couple points was not a "great" sign but a win is a win. A loss at home to any team hurts but on the bright side, its the 2nd game of the season and there is still plenty of football to play. Just scary that we could have been 0-2.

Lets go Steelers!

Sometimes it's the only open receiver. Chances are the players near the sidelines are well-covered.

11 more seconds left and we would have at least had ONE shot.
But we didn't deserve to win. We played awful.

redsox, you raise a good point, but like cheesy I don't care that much because it's a miracle that we got to a point where we could get upset over a last second play

It was a hail mary play with 5 going deep. It was Rodgers' decision to throw it to Driver down the middle. Had the referee not screwn around, had Driver not let the ball go after he went down, had Jennings/Finley not lined up wrong, we would've had another play of easily.

Of course you want to work the outsides, but the defense knows that. If you're playing a prevent with 4 rushing, 4 down the sidelines and 3 down the middle, you really don't have a whole lot of choice.

you guys knew if we made it in for the 6 we wouldnt of had time for the extra point ... was a good last min try thou.

and ya I agree 5 sacks on rodgers - from his moving, to the Oline to the not enough slant and screen plays.

those sacks have got to go

I think that you always have time for the extra point, there's just no reason to on a game winning TD or in OT, so you don't see it happening that often.

Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
