Hey guys, so the nerd is coming out of me here. I have followed a few guys who did this for other sport gaming and I was intrigued and caught myself following on a daily basis. They did this with their offline franchises and it ran quickly because they were on their own schedule. I am in a 32 player online franchise in Madden 10, no computers.

So, basically what I do is ask YOU the people, the GB PACKERS fans about what I should do when it comes to who I start, trades, off season transactions and all that wonderful stuff! Now if you are making ludicrous requests I will not follow!

This could be a HUGE failure of a thread (lol) or a HUGE success depending on how well I keep up with posting and what I post as well as member contribution. I will also keep you updated with scores and stats of players.
I hope you all enjoy this as much as I will :thumbleft:
(mods, let me know if this is cool or not).

So, I am already two weeks into this Online Franchise. It took me awhile to think about doing this because of time and I didn't know if this would spark interest.

Week 1 against Chicago Bears

Final
Packers-38
Bears-3

Team Stats
Packers
Passing yards- 158
Rush yards- 40
Ints- 0
100% redzone
Total offense- 198 yards

Bears
Passing yards- 60
Rush yards-53
Ints- 3
50% redzone
Total offense- 113 yards

I came out strong this game. I had to make a statement and let all the haters know the Packers were ready to play.
I started out slow on offense, not even scoring until the 2nd quarter, a 27 yard FG by Mason Crosby.
Defense put a hurting on the Bears. Nick Barnett had a 100 yard interception in the 4th quarter and Will Blackmon returned a fumbled ball from a punt.

Individual Stats (highlights):
Offense
A. Rodgers- 13/18, 158 yards, 2 TDS
G. Jennings- 4 catches, 57 yards, 1 TD
J. Nelson- 5 catches, 47 yards
J. Finley- 1 catch, 21 yards, 1 TD

Defense
A. Harris- 1 int
N. Barnett- 1 int
A. Bigby- 1 int, 3 tackles
B. Raji- 3 tackles

Packers 1-0, stay tuned for Week 2 stats. Hope this becomes enjoyable. An feedback is cool.
Btw, after week 2 there will be highlight film!

I used to look these up on the internet. I love these franchise write ups.

Good game. I guess the Bears guy didn't know what hit him, lol. 3 ints can never help you.

Week 2 against Cincinnati Bengals
9/20- 12:00 @ Lambeau Field

Packers- 34
Bengals- 13

Team Stats:
Packers
Passing yards- 194
Rushing yards- 120
Turnovers- 0
Total Offense- 314
Total Yards- 393

Bengals
Passing yards- 137
Rushing yards- 34
Turnovers- 0
Total Offense- 171
Total Yards- 367

Pretty dominating game for the Packers. The guy I played against actually became so annoyed with the dominance that he decided to send me a voice message asking me to run down the clock after the 28 yard TD connection between Jennings and Rodgers in the 4th quarter.
He scored 6 in the 4th quarter when I let up on him and failed the two point conversion.

Individual Stats (highlights):
Offense
A. Rodgers- 11/17, 211 yards, 3 TDS
G. Jennings- 2 catches, 98 yards, 2 TDS
J. Jones- 1 catch, 21 yards, 1 TD
R. Grant- 18 at, 92 yards, 3 catches, 25 yards

Defense
R. Pickett- 1 sack
C. Jenkins- 1 sack
C. Matthews- 1 sack

Play of the Game: 70 yard TD pass from A. Rodgers to G. Jennings in the 1st quarter. Bengals defense bit on a play action leaving Jennings wide open on the streak.

Week 3 begins shortly, I will be playing the 2-0 St. Louis Rams. I am stunned that he is 2-0. I am actually nervous to play the guy if he is 2-0 with this team.

I usually don't get on the mic when playing people I do not know on Xbox Live (it is just ackward). This guy insisted we use mics and well, it became real quiet after the 2nd quarter.

There is a Transaction Alert and usually I will make these posts by themselves but I already had this going before this idea. Anyways, your thoughts.

I am looking to alter my defense. My front 3 are dominating on the run but I want Raji to anchor the middle. Right now it is...

RE- C. Jenkins
DT- R. Pickett
LE- B. Raji

I put up an offer on the message board after the Bengals game. I was looking to trade Ryan Pickett (78 overall) for a defensive end of 75 overall or higher.
I received an offer from the Tennessee Titans as follows and I kinda laughed because I am not getting rid of who I want to.

Titans offer Kyle Vanden Bosch for Nick Barnett.

WHOA! I already told the guy no way...I need Barnett (this is where you guys would chime in) and he said feel free to make a counter offer.

So, I have not done this yet but he really wants a MLB. I was thinking of offering him A.J Hawk for Kyle Vanden Bosch.

I can replace Hawk with Desmond Bishop.

Thoughts?

Don't trade for Vanden Bosch, he would be a terrible fit at end in the 3-4. I remember a couple years ago I was playing as the Chargers and I traded for Kampman. He was totally a nonfactor during the games.

Alright, no trade for Vanden Bosch, I will turn the guy down. I am satisfied with what I have, I just wanted Raji to anchor the line.

Tengo--this is an online franchise, not my personal franchise. I saw a bunch of "mature" guys trying to get a league together---mature on terms of holding a fulltime job being over 23 yada yada....makes for less jibjab.
Anyways, thats why I didn't wait and I think EA put out their latest roster update. Is there another one?

Packers Thump Rams in Week 3

The Green Bay Packers showed up at Edward Jones Dome and put a hurting on the St. Louis Rams Sunday night. The Packers and Rams both came into week 3 with a 2-0 record and top 5 defenses (in points scored against).

The Packers drew first blood on their opening drive when Aaron Rodgers walked into the endzone from the 9 yard line of the Rams. The Rams offense attempted to strike back and moved the ball very well but the Packers tough defense held them to only 3 field goals. The player of the game was Charles Woodson after his 41 yard interception return.

The Packers (3-0) now prepare for next weeks game against division foe, the Minnesota Vikings (1-1). Minnesota Vikings coach is unhappy with Favre at the moment as he has offered numerous trade request throughout the league. When asked why he responded, "Favre is too damn old and slow!"

Team Stats:
Packers
Passing- 133 yds
Rushing- 141 yds
Turnovers- 0
Total Offense- 274 yds
Total- 428 yds
T.O.P. - 12:42

Rams
Passing- 130 yds
Rushing- 39 yds
Turnovers- 1
Total Offense- 169 yds
Total- 373 yds
T.O.P. - 19:18

Individual Stats (highlights):
Offense
A. Rodgers- 8/11133 yds, 1 TD
4 attempts for 11 yds, 1 TD
J. Finley- 1 catch for 28 yds, 1 TD
R. Grant- 11 attempts for 77 yds, 1 TD

Defense
C. Woodson- 1 INT, 1 TD
N. Barnett- 1 sack, 2 tackles
C. Jenkins- 1 sack, 4 tackles

Play of the game- Charles Woodson interception return for 41 yards in the 4th quarter.
