My vorte was for Dietrich-Smith. Not because I think he is not qualified to play in the NFL but because Wells is capable of starting. If Sitton was injured Spitz could slid over and Wells could start. They don't need D-S at this time.

I voted for other, firstly because there's a statistically greater chance that another player not listed is released, and secondly because I think it's more likely the Packers swing a trade for Scott Wells than to outright cut anyone, for lack of performance etc.

I do agree that Dietrich-Smith is the least safe candidate from those options.

I am surprised Brad Jones made it though.

I have high hopes for Jones. He lightning fast for a 7th rounder, has special teams ability and despite missing a chunk of TC beat Clifton a couple of times in 1 on 1 drills.

He wont play much at the moment but if we trade Poppinga or cut him next year and trade Kampman we're going to need some depth at OLB.

Well if Crosby doesn't figure out that the ball goes between the uprights, not outside of them, he could be packing pretty soon. The misses that he has been doing are unacceptable.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

I agree. When I 1st put the poll together I had about 10. The punter Kapinos, DE Wynn among others was on the list. It was just too many so I narrowed it down a bit.

I voted for Dietrich-Smith. As others have pointed out the Packers have Wells in reserve at center. Dietrich-Smith also would stand a fair chance of clearing waivers.

a majority of those misss were due to poor holds. Now that flynn is holding again things will be fine. There is not a better kicker available.

Agreed. Also consider a 4 of the 5 misses were pretty long kicks. (48 yards or more.) The other was a 29 yard att that was clearly the holder's fault.

If that was regular season MM would have been a little more conservative and not have attempted every one of those long kicks but since it was the preseason it did not matter if Crosby tried.

When looking at Crosby also remember that he had a few kickoffs that went into the endzone. Not every kicker can do that.
