We had two things going for us last year, Offense and Special teams. So far in the preseason it looks promising that Offense and defense will show up every week (except BYE week). Do you think our special teams will be the same as last year or even better this year? Even if they are same as last year, I think we can make it deep into the playoffs. Let me have your input.

hmmm from what I understand our ST sucked last year.

- Poor tackeling
- Poor field position
which includes poor punting, blocking, our return guy wasnt bad but IMO I would like better

It was a High focus that MM and Ted Thompson would focus on ST this year and so far they have done that. Dont know how many times I have heard the words special teams this offseason.

Coverage should work better. More LBers on the team should help the performance. Return team is going to be tough. Remember that rules change have taken the wedge away, so I think it will be harder for all teams to get as many big returns.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

If we can improve on return punts and kickoffs. That could be a major improvement, and talking about punting oh boy that is yet to be found out.

blackman and nelson are good in punt returns , after that i think we need much improvement, our kr has been bad for years, and we gave up way too many big returns !!

I believe our Special Teams would do fine. Kapinos officially got the punting job and I couldn't be any happier. I'm rooting for him to be a consistent player and do well for us.

And there was something good that came out of Crosby missing on a lot of his kicks during the Atlanta game. It had McCarthy make a surprising admission that he should have had Flynn suit up as the holder. I think the holder was the main reason why Crosby did as poorly as he did that night. We're fortunate to have Flynn doing that for us though because he's really good at it, practically being the holder all his years in college except for his last year playing QB.

Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
