Then we must have gone 4-0 when we went to the Super Bowl against Denver. I remember very vividly after the Packers won the final preseason game in 1999, Wayne Larrivee pointing out that the last time the Packers had gone 4-0 in the preseason, they'd gone to the Super Bowl, so perhaps this was a good omen. Of course, it was not to be.

I tried to verify this on NFL.com, but they don't maintain preseason statistics prior to 1999.

If our starters looked awful, and we were 3-0 in the preseason, THEN i would worry. But they look great!
I think this will only be good. It brings up the team's confidence.

And here's another thing. All the preseason crap we were hearing about Kampman being mad about being moved to LB. You don't think that scoring his first TD as a pro has helped to make his position move alot better for him? I bet IF he was mad about the move, getting a taste of what he might be able to do in the regular season HAS to have him fired up now! Don't you all agree? I think he looked VERY happy! And Kevin Greene.......did you see how much emotion he showed when Kampman scored? Thats the kind of fire i want to see in our team! That seemed to be missing last year.
And these are games that "don't count", and yet our guys are out there giving 100%! How can that be bad? It shows that they want to win EVERY time they are on the field!
It has me VERY excited about the upcoming season!

I'd much rather be 3-0 in the pre-season than 0-3, if the latter was the case people would be talking about another 6-10 season and how much they hate Ted Thompson.

I agree - people are talking about our domination this preseason rather then having Ted Thompson or Mike McCarthy head on a platter or about how our 1's suck.

If this means anything before the cards game the pack the odds for winning the SB were 1-34 now we are 1-26.

One of the announcers said he was talking to Woodson before the game and Woodson told him that the previous week he and Al wanted to stay in the game because they were HAVING FUN

Not sure if they could have said that last year

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet but this isn't just some normal preseason for the packers.

Over the off season the packers changed to the 3-4. We all know that it could take sometime. And from what i have seen this preseason the defense looks to be learning it quiet well. So this preseason was a great scale to let everyone know where the defense stands.

Some other notes we got too see this preseason that were question marks in the off season:

- A healthy packer team.

- The running game.

- O-line and D-line

- Rodgers second year as a starter.

I believe its not that the packers are playing too well. We are just seeing how good they can really be when healthy.

TheKanataThrilla (51m) : Exactly buck...Washington came up with the ball. It is just a shitty coincidence one week later
buckeyepackfan (52m) : I forgot, they corrected the call a week later. Lol btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY dhazer!
buckeyepackfan (54m) : That brings up the question, why wasn't Nixon down by contact? I think that was the point Kanata was making.
buckeyepackfan (1h) : Turnovers rule, win the turnover battle, win the game.
packerfanoutwest (1h) : well, he was
TheKanataThrilla (1h) : Eagles down by contact on the fumble....fuck you NFL
Mucky Tundra (1h) : I think this games over
beast (2h) : Eagles sure get a lot of fumbles on kickoffs
Mucky Tundra (2h) : This game looks too big for Washington
packerfanoutwest (5h) : that being said, The Ravens are the Browns
packerfanoutwest (5h) : Browns, Dolphins have longest AFC Championship droughts
packerfanoutwest (5h) : As of today, Cowboys have longest NFC Championship drought,
beast (16h) : Someone pointed out, with Raiders hiring Carroll, the division games between Carroll and Jim Harbaugh are back on (who can whine more games)
beast (21h) : I'm confused, Pete Carroll and Brian Schottenheimer? When Todd Monken, Joe Brady, Kellen Moore, Kliff Kingsbury and Zac Robinson are availab

Zero2Cool (24-Jan) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (24-Jan) : I'm going with a combination of the two.

Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.

beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job

dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
