With Tramon Williams surely stamping his name on a future starting spot at CB (once either Woodson or Harris decide they've had enough) are we still looking at Pat Lee as "the other man"? Or perhaps, with the time we've been afforded (as the aforementioned vets aint leaving any time soon) do we look for a better project? Pat Lee has had his share of praise in camp, but has yet to, a) stay healthy or b) show anything much on game day. What are your thoughts?

right now he's not the guy. hopefully he can change. it seems like CB is the position in the NFL with the steepest learning curve. kinda seems to go failure, failure, failure, screw-up, screw-up, screw-up, BINGO.

He's a second-year player who found himself in a deep rotation in what can only be considered a talented position for the Packers. I don't think there's enough there to really judge just yet.

They drafted him in the first place because he was comfortable in man to man/bump and run coverage. He's a pretty physical corner. I don't know much else about him to be honest.

It's hard to make a name for yourself when Woodson, Harris, and Tramon are out there. I would like to see him push Blackmon for playing at that dime position -- if not for Blackmon's noticeable defensive improvement.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

Little early to write off a 2nd round pick in just his second year, especially when in his 2nd year, he is going through a transition to a new scheme, which for a young kid like him, basically is starting from scratch again.

I say keep him around and let him grow, but doesn't mean that we can't look else where also.

I don't know... my main concern with him from the film I saw was that he seems to get lost in space. With press style man coverage, that's not as big of an issue, but now it could be. This was the one pick that I was a little disappointed with in 2008. I really wanted Tracy Porter (Saints took him well before we took Lee, at 40) and I kind of wanted to avoid Lee.

Underwood saw time in the dime package today in practice. Could Lee possibly get bumped to #6 behind Woodson/Harris/Williams/Blackmon/Underwood?

This pick looks like it really takes away the possibility of Ted building a 3-4 team all along. Lee was an obvious physical man to man corner. I hope that he can come along, but I have some doubt about him.

I hope that he can pick this scheme up and become a good corner, because we really need to find another good corner to complement Williams when both Woodson and Harris retire. I really wouldn't feel comfortable with either Blackmon or Lee starting. Or being our nickel CB, even.

Way too early to tell, and I'm never going to buy into the whole concept that someone's either just a man corner or just a zone corner. Nor am I convinced that there's no room for a man corner in a 3-4. That's what was being said about Al before he proved he could do it, so I think it's only fair to give Pat the same chance to prove himself.

The kid's got talent and size - until he gets on the field and proves that he's unable to play in this scheme he's still in play, in my mind.

One of the best CB that we have took 6 years to become a starter. Talking about cutting a player this soon is just ridiculous.

To be fair no one's actually mentioned cutting him, which I think would be a mistake. However I think he'll be a slow developer as I hoped, as a second round pick, we'd see him competing with Tramon by now (I realise you've got to factor in his injuries and of course our changed defensive scheme).

I think he`ll develop given another year or so. Really don`t trust Blackmon out there. He`s never really shown much.
