I agree with a lot of what you said, but I don't agree that he doesn't fit their style of offense considering they run a west coast offense similar to what we have in Green Bay. If his shoulder gets hurt again and he tries to play through it like he did with the Jets, (and you know Balldress won't have the spine to bench him) that is when the risk he'll start costing the Vikings a lot of games will sky rocket like it did in NY.

His play has consistently fell off the last 5 years as the season wears on, and I really don't see that changing considering he's on the verge of turning 40. Hell, if you take away his game against the Cardinals last season, his TD to INT ratio wasn't much better than average even before he got hurt.

Just a note about your video though. Maybe it's just your style, but the constant breaks and edits in your speech kind of make your video feel disjointed and harder to watch.

thanks. though the system fits favre, i just think it's out of the vikings philosophy to throw the ball 30-40 times a game, which will happen with favre under center.

as for the video, it's edited to cut out all the dead air and extra time when i film to save time. i agree this one came out choppier than i would have wanted, and the constant breaks and stuff is something im constantly trying to work on video to video.

You're right.. It IS out of the Vikings philosophy to throw 30-40 times a game. Which is why it isn't going to happen. As much as the average NFL fan likes to think this team is now Favre's team.. It isn't. It still is, and will continue to be, Adrian Peterson's team.

Favre came to Minnesota because he won't HAVE to throw 30-40 times a game. Hense the theory of it being a 'match made in heaven'. He'll be asked to make some throws.. but not consistently, like was almost required of him in GB and eventually in NY.

We'll see how this turns out soon enough.

I don't see the point, Favre for one season, a constant media circus, SuperBowl or bust, lose the trust of your two future QBs. Favre won't add that much more to a team that is run first. We'll see but I have a feeling that the SuperBowl will be even further away from the Vikes this season. The Vikes think they're getting "The legend" Brett Favre, when they're actually getting a very average QB with a tendancy to throw picks.

+1 man ... enjoyed the commentary more then I do most of those guys on TV

I might not be as upset at this move as some people; to tell you the truth I actually hope he does well there. I still want us to stuff him when we play the purple peeps.

Its all the "Threat" of the throw. Its so that Defenses will push back and go more into coverage (bit if his arm is lacking then they will tighten up) to all Peterson to grab more yards on less carries.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the Vikings backup situation. Do they take four QBs into the regular season, or does Booty get sent to the practice squad?

I was almost going to turn this into a separate topic but clayton or shefter(forget which) hinted yesterday that the vikes really like Booty, and with 3mil invested in Sage, they are actually considering trading jackson.

Haha, nice video. It was hard to follow with all the cuts but I understand the dead air deal. I thought it was funny a couple times when you were like "YOUR A DICK BRETT (cut)...but you were my idol and my everything when it came to football." Haha, you made awesome points and I am going to subscribe to you on youtube if this is what you do.

In regards to Formo, any team Favre is on is FAVRE'S TEAM. It will happen but I agree with everything else you say. Favre fits there because if his arm is 100%, defenses are going to have to jump to coverage giving the man, AD, all day to run. I hop this doesn't happen, haha.

Martha Careful (6-Jan) : watching the Vikings and Lions it's understandable why they swept the Packers. So much better product
