I was suppose to leave an hour ago to go to the Heritage Festival in Edmonton....

Then I got to listening to the tracks Zero put up... 9,11,15 and 21 are far beyond very good. Spectacular!

Alan, I would love to hear you sing some Marty Robins... A White Sport Coat, and.... Of course.... What I consider one of the greatest songs ever written...

I better go... I am late now.

OK Cheesey. Now that you've won the big Enchilada you got some serious training to do before you get in Miller Park and amaze the crowd.

#1: Don't pull a Robert Goulet and forget the words to the National Anthem. If that happens just make up some words that fit in.....no one will know the difference. i.e., "Oh say can you see, by the dawns early light.
What so proudly we hail,
Oh Canada, my Canada you sail.
See....it'll work great.

#2: Remember the Rosanne Barr incident? Whatever you do, don't grab your crotch. People will think Michael Jackson has risen from the dead and all hell will break loose before the first pitch.

#3; Sing it the way it should be sung. Don't start trying to break glasses or crack windshields in the parking lot with those gad-awful high notes some people try to put in.

Remember, we're counting on you. Keep your stick on the ice and one hand on the beer and you'll do fine.

Oh....Rock......Johnny Cash......i LOVE that guy!!! As i said before, i sang Folsum Prison Blues as the semi's and rocked the place.
Now that i think of it, i bet Zero posted it in one of those 25 songs. I honestly don't remember what songs i put on that CD.

Bob......I felt SO sorry for Goulet. Most people don't even realize the guy was CANADIAN! That would be like ME trying to sing "Oh, Canada". I KNOW i'd screw it up!

And i believe in singing it the "old fashioned" way. I ALSO hate when people try to turn it into an audition or something. Sing it from the heart, as it was meant to be sung. And I'll do it with a root beer in my hand. (Maybe i better wait till AFTER I'm done singing.......don't want a huge *BURP* right in the middle of it!
And REAL beer would give me the farts.....that would NOT be a pretty sight. Can you see that? As i sing "and the rockets red glare, the BOMBS (Cheesey lets one rip) bursting in air!"
The people in the crowd go "Man....i can actually HEAR the bombs!....and whats that smell, sulfer???"

Good news, Cheeey!

I'm sure you have heard about celebrities getting injections to reduce sweating, etc.

The latest aid for you famous people was invented in China just this year, so your timing couldn't be better. I am sure it will solve your potential "problem" to a degree that neither your farts or the smell of them will be of much concern, comparatively speaking to other issues that might be going on at the time.

I say that if the backstage folk hand you one of these...well, go ahead and have a beer......and reflect upon the concept that fame is not without cost... lol...the device in question is described as "small"...I will not go there, but eagerly await your report on that issue. lol lol lol

Cheesey, last night I played several of the tracks for my wife. Her eyes went wide open and her comment was, "that little stinker can sing."

OK...question one. How does she know you're little? and question two, how does she know you stink? LOL Those 25 cuts on the cd are good, but didn't I hear a toilet flush right at the end of Margeritaville? Your kitchen is also the bathroom?
