And for those that wonder.........yes, i HAVE had guys give me the once over! I actually have FUN with it. Especially in the summer. I'll be driving down the expressway, my window open, my golden locks flowing.........a car with a dude driving will get next to me, his eyes STRAINING to get a look at the "hot blonde" driving........then they see my mustache!!!

This has happened litterally more times then i could count!
I have also been in the men's room, washing my hands, a guy will walk in, see my hair, and then look quickly at the door for the sign, then back at me, then back at the sign.......LOLOLOL!!!........then i tell them "It's ok, your in the right room!" This also has happened MANY times. Once i even had a woman following me as i was walking into the men's room, and she's yelling "Ma'am! Thats the MENS ROOM!" I was laughing to myself, and i did NOT turn around.......she was practically SCREAMING it as i walked into the men's room! I thought she was gonna faint!
I also have had BEAUTIFUL women ask to touch my hair! This also has happened MANY times!
Oh.....i also get the old foggies that give me the evil eye, or make the "Why don't you cut your hair" comments. What is so funny to me, and i have said it to a few of them, is this. "Most of you have paintings in your homes or churches of a "dude" with LONG hair, a beard, wearing a robe and sandals. And you look at that painting with reverence. Yet you look down your noses at me for having the same thing. I bet if Jesus cames knocking at your door you would look out and say "Don't answer the door! There's some long haired hippie on the porch!!!"
That usually shuts them up.
It IS a pain to take care of though.

Thats a FACT!
Just the other day, i and my wife were walking. A real pretty woman was walking the other way........of course, me being married as long as i have been, i knew it was ok to look, but not to LOOK. (Married guys know what i mean!) So i saw her for a second, then just kept walking. A few seconds later, my wife says to me "Did you see the LOOK she gave you?" I honestly had not, so i said "Was it a dirty look?" She says "NO!!!"
I just smiled........LOLOLOL!!!

What sucks about having long hair isn't having the long hair itself -- it's those long, agonizing transition periods between short hair and luxuriant locks. I grew my hair out for almost two years and it barely reached to the bottom of my neck. But for those intervening months, it just didn't look good. Then I had to shave it off when the Reserves came calling, anyway, so it turned out to be all a waste.
