Omfg another one of these damn threads. We all know Brett is 2nd to only Elway with 4th quarter comebacks. But yet we are comparing a fricken 1st year starter to a hall of fame player. This shit is so damn old i say let the kid play a few years and then start doing some comparing. Until then we technically have nothing to go off of.

Yes believe it or not im sticking up for Rodgers, because i'm so sick of this same bullshit that comes into every day thread that has either Rodgers or Favre in.

Whoa hold up! I just watched the last four minutes of the Buccaneers game.

I'll post the video once it's uploaded of the last series Rodgers played. It was actually Flynn who played the last series of the game with :90 on the clock. I completely spaced it out that Rodgers was hurt that game. Rodgers was also blitzed from his blindside and hit as he threw the ball. Now, I don't know for sure, but I think if that ball is thrown ahead of Driver, that's a score for the Packers.

Completely blown blocking asssignment, it was just awful. How do you let a defensive end come completely unblocked? It baffles me.

Again you can put all the ****** beside any stat but comebacks are recorded this way. Heck all stats are. I can argue Ryan Leaf was a great QB if I could put in a bunch of "could've's and would've's" in it.

No I don't think A-Rod is Ryan Leaf.

Were some of this games a little less his fault than others, of course. The reality of it all is his job is to lead his team to a score when it matters. If he does he will be known as a clutch QB, if he doesn't he will be known as a choker. Fair or not, that's how it works because he is being measured against other QB's who have the same variables that he has.

Who's disputing this? Although after realizing that Matt Flynn QB'd the last :90 seconds of the Buccaneers game, I am leaning that the failed comeback is more on his shoulders for that stat.

I'm fine with the Rodgers did not bring the Packers back to win the game in the final 4:00 minutes of a game and is 0 - 8 in those situations. I said this I think twice in this thread.

I'm now examining the games a bit from the recordings. One could say, I'm going off topic, but staying on topic 🙂

I'm not disputing anything Zero, I'm saying that it will be recorded as a failed comeback attempt whether it wasn't his fault or not. If A-Rod throws an INT. in that situation and the CB then fumbles and GB picks it up and advances it for a TD Rodgers earns a comeback victory. Sure we can debate whether it's fair or not but there are no asteriks for any other QB's who face the same variables

I was just thinking more on this. IF that is exactly how they tally failed come backs. Players who have played for more than a decade would have a HUGE amount of 'failed comebacks' then. Yet, this is the first I've heard of it.

I do hear the stat of how many comeback victories does a QB have. I think Elway had something like 41, but I never have heard that he was 41 out of 153 tries.

Just seems like that stat is severely pessimistic (half empty) view point.

It's not tecnically "failed comebacks" it would be more of comeback percentage.

Hypothetically, if Brett had 96 chances over his career and he lead the team to victory 48 times it would show you that you had a 50% chance of him winning that game. Then you could use it to compare to other QB's and it would tell you was money in the clutch.

A-Rod is 0-8 in comeback situations seems a little better than A-Rod had 8 failed comebacks
