With all due respect, anyone who ranks the Vikings' quarterback situation, even (or particularly) with Favre at the helm, above that of the Packers and Bears is borderline delusional, in my opinion. :P

That's why they play the game. If anyone really thinks Cutler will play as well as he did next year as he did last year, they are crazy. He has all new receivers, and these new receivers are f rated compared to the A-B rated receiving corps he had last year(even though i cant stand Marshall).

Favre will be healthy, in a familiar offense, with much more time to prep for the season and up against familiar foes.

Who will have the better (numbers) out of the group is different from the better qb. Football aint all about numbers. I'd say this, anyone who would rather have Cutler or Rodgers over Favre behind center, down 6 points, with 2 minutes remaining is "borderline delusional" as you put it. And to be honest, isn't that what it's all about? Hell, Daunte Culpepper had one of the greatest single seasons in league history and he can only find work on the Dolphins, Raiders and Lions(the worst teams in the league at that particular time).

DHazer,

I think that's totally fair. Rodger's hasn't proved much in the final minute or so of a game, so I don't think it's unfair at all not to consider him #1. He has, however, made comebacks late in ball games to put our team in a position to win. I think for that reason many of us are just going on what we THINK he can do. Nothing wrong with that either, it's just as fair as your opinion.

With that being said, Cutler hasn't done much in that regard either. After 2.5 half years or so I would be willing to bet that Rodger's will have enjoyed more success (outside of pure statistics) then Cutler has so far. Just my opinion.

I do expect Rodgers to progress this season to where I would take him over either of the others the last 2 minutes. I believe the offense will open up this season because Aaron is in his second season and both he and MM will have more confidence in his ability. Think about what he did last season. (his first season) Now with a year under his belt there is no telling how great he will become.

I'd still rather, much rather have Rodgers than Cutler. Rodgers is more accurate, has a more than adequate arm, has great mobility and put up better numbers in his first year startiong than cutler ever has. The only thing Cutler is better at is being a crybaby and letting his feewings get the best of him. He's better @ that than Rodgers.

Yeah, I agree with most of what you wrote. Pretty obvious, as our lists look a lot alike. It's just that you don't have any ties at all.

One thing I'm wondering about though, how can you rate the ILBs and OLBs if they play in a different system? I wonder how you rated Kampman, who I rated as a DE, as an OLB if you compare him to a player like Briggs or Greenway?

And I wonder why everyone thinks that Kevin Smith is such a bad runner. If you look at the rest of their offense, he had quite the season. He might not've rushed for a 1000 yards, but he has a better average than Grant and he rusher for just 300 yards less behind an O-line that as leak as a basket and virtually no passing game for most of the season.

It's pretty much impossible to compare a player like Kampman and Greenway. It's apples and oranges. I just went by impact. I think Kampman is going to have an impact in this system and that's why I put GB at No. 3.

Same with inside backers. I'll take the impact that Henderson and Urlacher will have over Barnett and Hawk's impact. Especially Henderson.

Nothing against Kevin Smith. I think he's a scat back. He had a high average, but teams would play prevent against the Lions and he'd get garbage yardage. A lot like Brandon Jackson gets once in a while. I don't think Smith ends up being a real good primary back in this league. His best role would be one that Dominic Rhodes played on the Colts in their Super Bowl year.

Also, Rodgers hurt his shoulder last year. Who knows how much that might have hurt him other than him. I look for Rodgers to put up some good numbers. If the running game is crap like it was last year, i'd say over 4k yards and 30td's with 15 int's. If we can get our run game going, i look for his numbers to go down a little but to increase his efficiency.
