With all the humour aside though, he does look like a very good kid. I mean, from what I've seen, he plays hard and has his values in life set straigth.

One thing I did read in his scouting report is that he isn't always motivated.. I certainly hope we won't see that too often. Or not at all, would be even better.

Compares To: SHAUN ROGERS, Cleveland -- Rogers is about three inches bigger than Raji, but both have the awesome ability to change the tide of a game on the field and frustrate coaches by their lack of work ethic away from it. Raji had a good senior campaign, but it was not earth-shattering. You have to look at the whole picture here. Is your team going to get a player motivated and hungry to prove his doubters wrong, or a player his former coaching staff had to constantly monitor. That's a lot of money to gamble on someone that can either dominate for you or get a general manager fired.

I'm sorry if this comes off wrong, but it's not a reflection on my outlook on life, but rather, meant to bring to light certain prejudices against certain types of people. OK, disclaimer over. Here it is....

How many 320 pound people do you know that would be classified as highly motivated by some stranger who has never met the person? I show you a snapshot of a really fat guy, i bet one of the first adjectives that comes to mind is "lazy". Let's see what BJ can do. Do you think Thompson would've drafted him so high if Ted wasn't sure that Raji would work hard? C'mon!

Ya err!

there was some packers dude at BC wasnt there that highly recommended BJ to ted. This probably had something to do with it also.

And the fact that he was rated the best DT in the draft and the front line can make or break a 3-4.

So we got raji ... now to hypnotize raji into seeing whoopers hanging above all opposing running backs and quarter backs.

I still like Raji, and I hope that Pickett is tough at nails at NT and Raji gets all his time at DE. I think his abilities would shine at DE, eating blocks, stuffing runners and getting penetration into the backfield preventing QB's from moving up to avoid the outside rush.

Raji at DE on Kampman's side would pay huge dividends in the long run. Who they going to block? when they have to choose. TE on Kamp or Raji 1-1 with a Guard?
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!
