So, I wanted to throw these pics out there.. BTW, these are not mine, the Gopher Football team's head coach, Tim Brewster, took these. I'm just linkin' them.

This is the turf being installed at TCF Bank Stadium (The Brick House, or The Vault).. I can't wait for Sept. 12th!

I LOVE football fields! I think they're incredible.

I just found out recently that I'm going to be an NC State Wolfpack grad student soon, so guess who instantly became one of my favorite teams? LOL.

No I don't have big expectations for them, but they really came on strong at the end of last year. Sleeper team maybe?

=)

Things are changing at Minnesota

So youre the coach of a Big Ten football team that went from one victory in 2007 to seven in 2008, as big a one-year turnaround as we saw in the FBS last season. You return virtually your entire offense and much of the defense. You have a brand-spanking-new on-campus stadium about to open that promises to be jam-packed from Day 1.

Dude.. Maybe it's just me.. But I think college game atmospheres are better than the NFL. I have yet to see fans at an NFL game have the traditions of a NCAA game (Wisconsin's "Jump Around" in the 4th quarter, Penn State's "White Out" during night games, etc).. Not to mention the coordination the drunk college kids have to create a wave, the fast wave, the slow-mo wave, and the reverse wave (all I've seen in person at Camp Randall) is leaps and bounds better than anything I've seen at an NFL game.

Ha. The Wave at Miller Park was disappointing to say the least. Maybe Brewers fans don't get drunk enough.
