What groundbreaking point did Fran make exactly?

Oh, Brett needs to decide. Boy, first time I heard that one. Maybe Brett and the Vikings can handle this without Fran's opinion. What title does Fran hold within the Vikings organization?

I just sort of ran around the internet looking at what folk have been saying about Fran's comments. I guess some ESPN guy also got it in himself to knock Tarkenton for his opinion, which in turn sent Fran into another frenzy.

Many comments out there about Tarkenton's "pedigree" or whatever. Some shit about his business dealings, etc. (Fran referenced his current activities to respond to the ESPN guy)

Here are a couple of things that make me want to read what he has to say.

He is not being politically correct. He is letting everyone know how he feels without straining it through some "nice-guy" strainer.

He is old school. My own opinion is that the further you get from retirement, the closer you get to those of your own generation, whatever team they played for---in other words-- Vikes vs. Pack has ZERO to do with his opinions on Favre.

I always respected Fran as a player. He was a gamer, and I really respect the fact that he isn't afraid to say what's on his mind. He is an NFL curmudgeon, and that is entertaining, in and of itself.

Give 'em all hell Fran!

Heck.....you HAVE to listen to a guy who grew up with the name "Francis", right? I mean.........imagine the HELL he went through as a kid???

Anyway.........I wonder what Bart Starr would say about all this, or for that matter, if he called Brett?
