4th and 26 and the '07 INT. I have never been so angry at a play (4th and 26) or sad after a play ('07 INT).

The thing about the 4th and 26 was I wasn't so mad at that. I KNEW they would convert, because the Football Gods have been angered.

You do not have not one, not two, but THREE RBs on your team who all run with a 5.0+ average per carry, an elite OL, and a 4th and 1 on your opponent's 40 and punt the ball. You run it, and end the game. That game should have been over then and there. But we decided to punt.

Even at 4th and 26th, I knew they'd convert. I was still angry at punting at 4th and 1 with Ahman Green as our RB running behind that OL. Let's not forget that Marco Rivera and Ahman Green were both Pro Bowlers. End the freaking game instead of punting the ball. I never got over that play.

Don't forget that our defense had sacked Donovan McNabb eight fucking times that game. That loss was NOT on our defense, 4th and 26th notwithstanding. They did all they could that game. It wasn't on our running game either. You can't ask for much more than 200+ yards at over 5 yards a carry.

Oh..let me guess. Who was it on then?

Uh..give me a minute..this is a toughy.

Nope. Can't figure it out.

Couldn't be the jackass who didn't call for a FG on 4th down on the goal line right before the first half, could it?

Couldn't be the guy who punted on the opponent's 40 yard line in the 4th qtr, could it?

I don't know. Maybe you should enlighten me as to who you think lost the game. The answer is escaping me.

Yeah, but the gap they left between the secondary and the front 6 or so. It's just frustrating.

They where playing a cover 2 prevent, it looked. That can't possibly work. Drop either everyone back deeper, or just play the way you played the entire game. The way that worked perfectly. Just call a normal cover 3 dime or something and there should be no way they get 26 yards in one play. Just look at that play once, we actually have 6 men nearly on the line of scrimmage, four rushing, one wandering around and one waiting for the RB to start his route. The other guys are all about 30 yards downfield.

Failure of the secondary in their assignments.

Not on the coaches. Correct defense for situation was called.

Donatell called a blitz.
Sherman over rode that and went prevent.

Big mistake. Should have stuck with the blitz. And if we would have stopped them with the prevent, I would say that was the right call. Just throwing that fair weather prediction of hindsight being 20/20.

HEY at least I admit it!
