I HAVE SEEN THIS PRACTICE COMPITITION BEFORE IN HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL... And it makes me wonder.

Practice drill.....

If Jennings and Terrell Owens were to Run The Same Route SIDE BY SIDE, a post pattern.... NO DEFENDERS.... and have a ball thrown...

And.... Once the ball was thrown it was a fight for the ball....

Who do you think would come down with it more often?

Greg Jennings - 5' 11" 194 LBS

Terrel Owens- 6' 3" 224 LBS

For a little guy (in the world of the NFL) I think Greg is one of the best at adjusting to a thrown ball... He might win.

Your thoughts?

I think Jennings would win hands down. TO is always in the top for most dropped passes in the league.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I hate to say it but i think TO would come down with the ball a far majority of the time. Hes bigger, faster, and stronger which really doesnt give jennings much of a chance even if hes the best at adjusting to the ball.

Although To would win on this drill that doesnt mean i think TO is the better reciever. I think this year jennings will be as good as TO was when he was in his prime.

For some reason I just keep seeing the TO drop Harris INT in the 07 Dallas game.

Don't think I have ever seen anything like that from Jennings.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

I'll take Chris Carter.. the master of the push off. ;)

Honestly, I don't think it would be a fair fight if they didn't have to make a large adjustment to get to the ball.. T.O. would use his size like he effectively does.

But if they had to adjust their body a great deal.. I think it becomes advantage Jennings....

So it depends on the throw, where it is placed and whom is throwing it.. T.O. doesn't seem to be able to handle high velocity throws..

Let me clarify the QUESTION.

SPEED has nothing to do with it. They are running the same 20 yard post pattern. No Defence, No Defensive bumps at the line of scrimmage., both know Exactly where the ball is going.

I take Larry Fitzgerald.

But honestly, Owens is more physical and he'd be the better option after the catch--if he makes it.

So I choose Jennings. It's a far safer pick.
