Long time packer fan , you are correct on both --Badgers did play Hockey at LF once and event drew 40,000 spectators.
However snowmobile races were held in LF parking lot, not on LF playing field. Both years these races were held,it was held unusually warm winter here in G.B
Badger Hockey at LF was succcess . However the snowmobile races in LF parking lot were failures and concept was droppped .
Many years ago, The Green Bay packers allowed a rock concert to be held at LF. During this concert LF playing field was serverely damage. That was end of any concerts being held at LF.
Back in 1960's. GB West HS football team played it's game at LF. On Packer home game weekend, the West high football team played a game and a huge rain storm occurred. The HS football teams virtually destroyed the playing field. There was little tme to repair the damage to the playing field in time for Packer game on Sunday.
Vince Lombardi, the Packer opponent and NFL were very unhapppy with lousy field conditions for the game held on Sunday.
The next year, West high Football team was back at their old HS (newly remodeled) football stadium.
