you know it has to be alot of joking around look at all the people saying 10-13 wins lol. If they are being serious i'll say sorry but alot of them are the ones saying we have so many holes on this team:P I guess we have a new defense thats good for atleast 4 wins even though we don't know if they can play it lol.

I'll join in and say 14-2 i havent seen that one yet. Oh and Rodgers throws for 5500 yards and 51 tds and 3 ints.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

The thread is FOR fun, not to MAKE fun of those who actually have the balls to go game by game and pick a win/loss for each. Let's keep that in mind. Because its comments like that, that are pushing others from having fun with this thread. :thumbleft: :thumbright:

I don't think saying 10 or 11 wins is really just "joking around". I know we have holes on this team, but we really aren't that far off.

No, the tight games last year were a fluke. We should've been blown out in all of them. dhazer is right, this team sucks. We need more high priced FA's and overpaid vets. It's laughable that any fan on here wants to be optimistic. How can you hope that a team will get better just because it's incredibly young and will grow and develop together as a unit? The mere idea is absurd. 4-12. 5-11 if we get lucky.

Dhazer - I said ten wins because of my expectations. These are our main flaws:

1) DL sucks. This will hopefully be addressed in the offseason.

2) Defensive coaching sucked. Couldn't adjust worth a damn. This HAS been addressed in the offseason with firings and some excellent hirings

3) Mike McCarthy being such a wuss with his playcalling. I'm sure this has been addressed as he knows his job is on the line. One more season of wussy playcalling and Mike McCarthy is gone. Out of a job.

So I don't think 10-6 is a stretch. If we go 6-10 in '09, I will be calling for dismissals at the top level.

Way too early to tell.

Okay, I'll give it a shot - but there are a couple provisos to start with:

1. Assumption: Draft and post-draft FA will net us 1-2 quality starters on the OLine and Defense.

2. I hope everyone here remembers how the Falcons were supposed to be pushovers @ the beginning of last season, and even when we lost to them. Nobody gave that team any respect until the end of the season, in hindsight. Mean to say, while this is fun there's just no way to tell what you're going to get with the Packers or any team at this point.

Okay.

Home [5 - 3]

W - Chicago Bears
W - Cincinnati Bengals (Gold Pkg.)
W - Detroit Lions
L - Minnesota Vikings
W - Dallas Cowboys (Gold pkg.)
W - San Francisco 49ers
L - Baltimore Ravens
L - Seattle Seahawks

(I think they'll be pumped and ready for that opening game against the Bears, and the Bears won't be prepared - on the other hand, I expect Seattle to be much improved this year. I'm a little worried that this could be the Vikes' year, and I see them winning in Lambeau.)

Away [5 - 3]

W - St. Louis Rams
L - Minnesota Vikings
W -Cleveland Browns
W - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
W - Detroit Lions (Thanksgiving)
L - Chicago Bears
L - Pittsburgh Steelers
W - Arizona Cardinals

(Swept by the Vikes and losing in Chicago, as they'll have themselves more figured out by then. I think we take the Cards in UoP Field, though.)

So that looks like 10-6 - I think the Vikes are poised to take the North this year, but we make it in as a Wildcard and get to the Divs.

Prediction: made.

It's weird: My head says 10-6, but when I go through the games one by one, I get 11-5.

Though I must admit that the Saint Louis Cardinals do have me worr -- oh, wait, never mind.

I'm with you NSD! 11-5, no matter how I look at it. Rodgers is going to have a stellar year, and the D will get stronger as the strength of schedule does.
