Hey everyone, since the Packers season finished I was pretty busy with homework and also with starting to make my own site as a hobby. My site will be about general news / discussions etc ... anything you could think about. It's not a $$$ scam or a profitable intention that I'm going for just a site that people would come in and go just like packers home or yahoo or wtv just without the search engine ... well for now loll. Well the thing is this, this project will take me a good year and half just to launch it. So I decided before doing that I make a forum just to get things started, for the people to join along and be familiarized with each other so the day that my website goes up and running there would be some traffic at least ...

So I was wondering what I should name the forum. The forum won't be a forum that has a cost to it but the day that I will be launching my site it will be upgraded also.

So I need your help guys to put a name to my forum it's going to be http://******.proboards.com. What should I put in the ***** section as a name to my forum. Something that would catch an eye, attract members etc..., Ideas please.

The forum itself will be launched tonight, I'm just finalizing the final information's. So if anyone would like to join your all welcome.

*Msg to Zero* ---> I'm not stealing your members or in a competition with you lol.

BTW* If anyone would like to help me maintain the forum, I'd greatly appreciate it because I could need 2-3 people to help me out cause some days I might be busy with making the site and stuff.

BTW Zero if you got any tips I'd appreciate it a lot it will be my first site / forum bud. Give me some tips.

:thumbright: :thumbleft: Appreciate it guys.

If anyone wants to help me out e-mail me at: vartan_1986@yahoo.ca

I'll post the site of the forum a little later on if of course Zero allows me.

Thanks again everyone.

You should try and carve out your own niche. It will be way too difficult to maintain just a 'general' forum because, although on one hand it's available to everyone, in another sense there's nothing special about it to actually get people to come in. I would recommend getting a good idea on the format of your website and its target audience before making a forum. Suppose it IS successful and you attract a lot of members; well to appease your audience you will need to cater the website accordingly, and that limits your own creative ideas.

While there's nothing to stop you from developing a website based on the popularity of something in the forums, I'd find that a risky proposition.

Agree check out Hazers. He does a good job with Radio.

I would not go the general news route. The best thing to do is set up a site about something you are passionate about? Do you have a hobby that you love other than football?

Do what you love and love what you do. You will enjoy that site much more.
