The Broncos were always my favorite too going back from when I was little when color scheme was the leading factor in liking a team.

But yeah my heart belongs to the bumble bees from the north!

Cool video, notice how there's more offensive than defensive highlights. Hopefully, it will be more even in 2009 (more defensive of course). Unfortunately, there were a lot of bad plays as much as there were good plays which led to the 5-11 record

That's because our DL sucked last year. :(

Our DL was our Achilles' Heel, and the main reason we went 6-10.

Even when we did put a team in 3rd and long we let them get the 1st down time after time again. I always thought that was the sign of a bad defense. The injury returnees and the new coaching staff will help quite a bit IMO. And if we're lucky we'll have a rookie or two that contributes.

Kool video, fun to watch. I love Woodson and he amazes me that he can play at such a high level while injured.

Ummmm, you just kind of answered your own question.

KGB had been declining for years so toss that argument out the window. Ted should have addressed that long ago.

Every team has injuries. Good teams have depth. Our depth was the gem of a draft pick, Justin Harrell.

The D-Line has eroded over the years. It used to be a position of strength. Then we draft an injury prone DT and Corey Williams walks and KGB continues his decline and all the sudden it's an area of concern. Ted has to fix it. Hopefully he does a better job with that then he did with the 5-Year project that is the O-Line. Hell, we just signed Humphrey. I can see him lining up in the backfield helping out the O-line again because Colledge is a damn turn-style and a never-ending project.

2007 KGB had 9.5 sacks, played in 15 games (87 consecutive games played (91 including playoffs) that dated back to 2002)..

9.5 sacks in his last year starting was a decline???????

(he was DECLINING in run support) but that was fixed in middle of 2006 and 2007 by putting others in his spot on running downs and they knew about it

so going into 2008, Ted knew his run support was bad, but should have fully expected a full recovery on his knee and same pass rushing ability...

they only thing Ted screwed up on is not replacing Williams in the offseason

You would have given Corey Williams the contract that Cleveland did or what the market dicating. He wasn't worth it. I don't disagree that the D-line depth was delapitaed. Harrell and Jolly were counted on to make up for losing Corey Williams, but that plan blew up in our face. It's pretty difficult to replace Cullen Jenkins though, and that was a freakish injury that hurt more than any other injury last year.

I do find it peculiar that some of you guys rip Ted Thompson on depth, but what depth was there when he took the job? Shouldn't some of your comments go to the previous GM once in a while, for not having any depth, and in some cases having players starting that wouldn't even have been on a decent team's roster.

We are going into Ted's 5th year, when are you going to lay the responsibility where it belongs. Jenkins and Kamp are our 2 best D-Lineman, they were here when Ted got here. What has he added to that? Pickett and Jolly maybe? They are both pretty inconsistent. If Ted was incapable of replacing Williams than yeah, I guess you pay him. Boy, I can't believe Bustin Harrell can't stay healthy.......Everyone knew he was injury prone.

I don't believe we should have paid Williams the coin he got but I do believe you better have a plan to replace him. Ted had a plan, but it was a failure.

It's Teds team, time to stop blaming MS. Ted has been trying to address the O-line for 4 years now. Coupled with the Harrell pick, and lack of FA activity I can't find much faith to put into him when it comes to fixing the D-Line. Another Multi-Year, ever-changing experiment for him is what it's going to be.
