I did this for fun. Feel free to rpi it to shreds.

Trades

A. Trade #9 to Denver for #12 and TE Tony Scheffler (adding Sheffler is the equivalent of a high 3rd round pick).

B. Trade #41 to Cowboys for #51 and #69.

#12. Andre Smith OT Alabama
Ted Thompson grabs the guy everyone is afraid of to protect his franchise QB for the next 10 years and fix the glaring hole at RT and eventually at LT.

#51. Larry English DE/OLB

Provides an immediate pass rush, the thing our defense missed to most last season.

#69. Ron Brace NT Boston College

The biggest NT left on the board, overlooked by most scouts in favor of Raji.

#73. Fili Moala 3-4 DE USC

Provides a solid player at a position of need.

#83 Sean Smith CB Utah

At 6-4, provides the ideal CB to compete with Lee for future spot next to Tramon.

#109. Kyle Moore 3-4 DE USC

We grab another 3-4 project in round 4.

#145. Ramses Barden WR Cal Poly
Ted Thompson loves him some WRs. Barden is 6-6 with James Jones-type hands (the kind that are good at catching, not the kind that fumble twice against the Bears!)

Sean Smith may go in round one so that one is a little wishful in my opinion.

My ideal draft

Trade down and get two first. Take B.J. Raji and then use the other first on Brian Cushing and grab Clay Matthews in round two

Honestly, I'd love to get Tyson Jackson, Everette Brown, or Brian Orakpo with that first pick and I really think Ron Brace should be the pick in the second round.

Ugh... not those roid monkeys. I'd like either Maybin or Oher in the first round and then draft a 3-4 DE in round two, and third round picks could be used to take the other spot that wasn't drafted in round 1.

Little late for English aswell, isn't it? Or at least, I thought he went 1 at first.

Sintim would be a nice addition in the 2nd round, if English is gone. I do really like your draft. I'm still really high on Andre Smith (Although I think he to, is gone by 12), Sintim and Fili Moala.

This draft would make me very happy, though.

I also love this draft.....I just don't think that Andre Smith will be there at 12.

I think you should look at more draft boards. Sean Smith, Ron Brace, and Ramses Barden are much higher than you have them.

I list multiple possibilities as things can change depending on who is picked earlier. Don't think I am advocating a CB or NT in every round.

#1
I think CB Jenkins is the best pick if still on the board at #9.

Trading back could get him DE Tyson Jackson.

#2

OT Beatty CT

Max Unger OT OR

CB Sean Smith UT

A trade down could get them NT Ron Brace.

#3A

Alex Magee NT Purdue*

Lewis Keenan CB OR ST

Cornelius Ingram TE FL

#3B

Several CB's available here. This spot seems to be ideal for one.

Victor Harris VA Tech
Coye Francies San Jose St
Mike Mickens Cincinnati
Asher Allen GA

Which one is up to Ted. He can trade down and get one of close quality. If not CB he will trade down or there may be a higher ranked player still available.

Trading back can get him

Travis Beckham TE WI

Jonathan Luigs C AZ

Gerald Cadogan OT Penn ST

#4

Ricky Francois DE/DT LSU*

Fenuki Tupou OT OR

Xaivier Fulton OT IL

Trade Down possibilities are:

Terrence Taylor NT MI

Jason Watkins OT FL

#5

Dorrell Scott NT Clemson (You have to rotate NT's)
or
Kyle Moore DE USC

Anthony Hill TE NC ST

Sebastien Vollmer OT Houston

Donald Washington CB OH ST

For the 6th round picks and 7th round they should pick up insurance picks at positions taken earlier. With Jolly and Pickett in the last year of their contracts and NT being vital in the 3-4 A D lineman should be picked up.

I'm not being wishy washy with multiple choices. The draft can go many directions and cannot be controlled. All the names are there for flexibility because trades, runs on players at certain positions, and who was picked previously by the Packers all affect the next decision.

BTW,
This is a very good draft for Centers. Wells injury is a concern. Perhaps the Packers don't "need" one but why wait until you do?

Wishful thinking:

#9: Michael Oher, OT, Mississippi

Immediate need to replace tauscher and everything you want to have for a top-LT.

#41: Clint Sintim, LB, Virginia

Great pass rusher and looks good in coverage as well. I prefer a natural LB over the DE-tweeners with exzellent pass rush skills by far.

#73 + #109: Jarron Gilbert, DE, San Jose State

Trade up to the late second. Great size and very athletic and explosive.

#83: Dorell Scott, NT, Clemson

Very strong and can handle multiple blockers. Needs to bulk up, though.

#145: Jamarko Simmons, WR, Western Michigan

Excellent receiver who topped all receving records at Western Michigan formerly held by Greg Jennings.

#182: Ian Johnson, RB, Boise State

Tremendous sophomore campaign, production in the last 2 years lacked mostly because of system changes at Boise State. All-time WAC touchdown record, passed Faulk and Tomlinson.

#187: Domonique Johnson, CB, Jackson State

Great skills and very physical, ideal size. Maybe an early midrounder with a better 40.

#218: Bear Pascoe, TE, Fresno State

Excellent blocking TE, which is strongly needed with only receiving TE on the roster
