I'm sorry but i have to chime in here on something. You people that are even thinking of comparing Rodgers to the likes of Favre, Brady, Big Ben, Manning, hell even Eli need to step back and actually think about it. You folks are comparing Rodgers against a few qb legends and 2 proven super bowl winners. Rodgers had played ONE FRICKEN season. If we are doing that then hell Ryan Braun of the Brewers should be getting compared to Hank AAron. Yes now maybe your laughing and i'm sure your going thats stupid but hey its the same way your trying to compare Rodgers to these other qbs.

I agree with you that it might not be fair, but it will be done. Especially comparing him to Brady, P. Manning and Favre is unrealistic and makes no sense.

I dare to say that he's better than Eli though. He stumbled into the play-offs last year in Trent Dilfer fashion, only to make some plays (And an especially memorable one) in the play-offs and all of a sudden he's an elite QB. Heck, he even had quite pedestrian numbers this year for a team of their calibur.

By "take a sack" I don't mean he was instructed to allow himself to get hit -- just the opposite -- but rather if the situation was too dicey, to simply go down and let them get their courtesy touch. I saw an article about it on PackersNews, I believe, but I can't be bothered to search for it right now.

I would NEVER compare him to Brett , Brady, or the ones like that..

It will take YEARS for him to prove that

Getting hit, getting knocked backwards, chucking it up and hoping it makes the sidelines past the LOS = bad decision, in my book.

Never played QB eh? I'll take a line from Matt Damon, always have an exit strategy. Make quick decisions and know what you need to do. If you see a free blitzer, find the hot route, if its covered, THROW IT AWAY.

You're right, I never played QB at any significant level. Saying that, I have to imagine Murphy's law applies on the rare occasion. If a QB can control every second of every game, he's a god.

As much Greg Jennings adulation as is thrown around this forum, I'm amazed Jennings doesn't have the sorest dick and our members the most well-developed oral musculature in the world. 😉

Well LT seeing your putting words into my mouth what else did i say? I never once called him mr 6-10; but i would say his record is 6-10 and i don't see how that was a lie. Btw its funny your trying to say i said this about Brett and that about Brett but i don't think i brought his name up once in this thread. But hey it's nice having you doing my work in this discussion thanks lol. You bring up good points to defend Brett.

To be fair here, I only recall Packwillbeback calling Rodgers Mr. 6-10 in the Should Brett have?? thread (which LT participated in), not dhazer, though that's not to say he didn't say it either at some other point in time.

What in the heck are you talking about? Who said he can control every second of every game? Care to take it to the extreme? Wait a sec ...

The point I am making that obviously was not clear enough is that a QB needs to read and react QUICKLY without thinking. Obviously every QB is going to get sacked, hell even Michael Vick did and I'd have to say he was the most elusive QB for a few years. I'm also stating that if a coach on any level is telling his QB to take a sack over throwing it away, that's wrong and goes against what every good coach says. You do NOT sacrifice yards! "Football is a game of inches".

dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
