If Aaron Rodgers has a lot to improve upon, where does that leave the quarterbacks of the 26 teams who didn't perform to his level? If having the 6th-best quarterback in the league leaves lots of room for improvement (remember, Brett Favre was never once the highest-rated QB in the league), I'll take the need for improvement any day.

We didn't make the playoffs but we beat out the Lions in the division at least.

Not sure where this came from, but not making the playoffs isn't really a Rodgers problem at least right now. His play last year was playoff caliber for the most part. The defense now is a different story.

I think the info rock gave is pretty straightforward. I'll also point out he threw a terrible throw against Atlanta between 4 and 5 minutes left.

He's impressive for a first year starter, but he also has a lot to improve on.

I agree, he definitely has aspects that need to improve. Who doesn't though? In any walk of life? Are there people out there that are just totally perfect and need no improvement whatsoever??

I will admit that it is hard for me NOT to view the football world through my Green and Gold glasses, but I would take Rodger's over most the quarterbacks in the NFL right now. Not necessarily all of them, but most. He appears to be a great teammate, a hard worker, big arm, not dramaful, and appears to be far away from reaching his full potential. Perhaps he will never be able to lead a team to a super bowl by himself. Most quarterbacks can't and haven't been able to. However, I am fairly confident that if you give Rodger's an above average defense and offensive line, he will have every chance to win a championship. That's all he needs other then more experience, just a slightly above average defense and offensive line and I think he can carry the team from there to a Super Bowl. Now, if we don't get those things fixed, we're in for more trouble and high draft picks 😞

Basically, if there are obvious areas of improvement, and he's ALREADY putting up top 5-10 stats, he has the capability of being a monster.

I am just glad he is passed his rookie season and did real well. As they say, if you are not improving, then you are getting worse. I look forward to him continuing to improve year after year.

The only quarterback I can see taking over Aaron Rodgers right now would be Peyton Manning. I would choose Rodgers over Ben Roethlisberger or Tom Brady in a heartbeat. Not to take anything away from Big Ben, but I think A-Rodg has more upside in the long run, and we have no idea what Brady will look like this year. Not to mention, if I'm not mistaken, Rodgers had a better year statistically than all but two of Brady's seasons.

I'm not sure what your going after but its some good stats LT, pretty interesting that 2008 and 2004 the offense an d defense ranked the same, but the records are flip flopped. All stats can be misleading i guess. Like i said i truly have no idea what the reason was for the post but i found that interesting.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I think other than 2004, when the D faltered, their record was average or below average

when the D did better than average their record was way above average

Its a tiny sample, but IMO it really does show that the better the D is, the better the record is

Found 2000 scoring ranks......O 11th..........D 14th

record was 10-6

Not only that, but Rodgers actually scored MORE touchdowns in 2008 (32) than Favre did in 2004 (30). Just goes to show QBs get too much credit and too much blame.

LT i totally agree with you on the better the defense usually the better record. Defense wins championships look at the Steelers, Giants, Pats, Ravens just for an example. I have alot of homework to do today or i would look it up but i think it would be interesting to find out how much time we were trailing this year? The reason for that is sometimes trailing alot can be a misleading advantage to put up offense of stats.
