At 6-foot-6, 266 pounds, Johnson is a tall, lanky pass rusher who registered nine sacks and 17 1/2 tackles for losses last season and was named All-Atlantic Coast Conference. He was a finalist for the Bednarik and Hendricks awards.

According to a league source, the Green Bay Packers are high on Johnson.

Take it for what it's worth. Maybe we'll trade down and take him later in the first.

I was just about to post that. First I'd heard his name connected to the Packers, too.

9 sacks and 17.5 TFLs is hardly what I'd call underachievement, though...

Johnson has that "loafer" attitude about him, that is what the rap around him is. Takes too many players off and doesn't go all out all the time..

Interesting.. wonder if it is a smoke screen type of leak?

I like this guy, but we can get better players with our pick. Orakpo and Brown for one. Michael Johnson is probably a 11-25 pick overall.

Think second round Fin.. that is where he has slipped to.. late 1st early second.

He has the tools to be a much higher pick, maybe even better than Orakpo and definitely Brown IMO.. just a lots of character questions about him.. from what I have read.

I do like johnson but later in the draft; I like Tyson jackson more thou ... prefer we pick this guy up instead.

If we would make a trade down with Detroit for their later #1 and #2 I'd grab him. At #9....forget it. I am really hoping we move down.

I remember a lot of people saying the same things about Mario Williams.

I don't like him at 9.
