I just hope we get an impact player that will be here for the next 10-12 years. In my mind we only have 3 of possibilities on the team now, Jennings, Rodgers, and Hawk. Of course, others could surprise but you can't build on that.

If he would prove worthy of #9 I guess I would go with Raji. But a trade down and pick up Tyson with an extra 1-2 sounds good to me.

If we don't choose a OT at #9, I would like us to move down a bit and select..

Peria Jerry, DT Ole Miss

If you like Peria Jerry further down in the draft ... what do you think about Tyson? (he seem better?)

I would take Jerry over Tyson. JMO. 3-4 DE is more like a DT and Tyson hasn't played DT much were there is a lot more double teams at DT than 4-3 DE.

Others I would like in the second area...

Evander Hood does everything very very well but nothing great other than his effort.... most DT jog after the ball gets deep, Hood doesn't stop running until the refs stop the play.

Connor Barwin who people are calling the second coming of Mike Vrabel. I think he'll be picked by the Pats with the Chiefs pick that they got in the trade, if he's still on the board then. But Barwin has all the talent and skill needed to be a ST demon, future starter at OLB if not right away, and play some TE downs.

If we take Tyson I believe it would be as a DE. We would have to get another DT. I believe he would be good value at say 16-19, but if we traded down to that I think we should get at least a 2 with it.

Orakpo or Raji. Hoepfully it's Orakpo.

Same answer for me although I actually lean towards Raji I think.

Honestly if GB lands either one I'd be ok with that. I also think Everette Brown is in play too.

I think they're all gone by #9. Raji, Orakpo, Brown... they'll all be off the board.

Jenkins!!

Having an impact corner / safety like that is always a good thing. I probably would prefer Raji, Orakpo, or one of the top three OL, but I think they will be off the board as well.

I know many think Jenkins stock has dropped, but I don't believe so. I think he's going to be a stable of a defense for many years to come and is a fairly "safe" pick.

But I would certainly be happy with an offensive linemen!

So would I, but I do think the big 3 OTs will be gone by the time we draft at #9.

We had a little discussion in another thread as to whether we would draft Crabtree if he fell to #9, I wonder what Ted would do if Andre Smith drops to #9? Immaturity coaches can work on, god given talent not so much.
