Damn straight! I just want us to have a legitimate shot to at least sign the guy, and hopefully Canty's agent is smart enough to at least shop around some before allowing his client to ink a contract with someone.

Hopefully Ted will finally let go of those purse strings he loves to grasp onto and get something done. Canty would really be a huge upgrade for this team on the D-Line and would really allow us to concentrate on drafting either a DT, OT, or LB in the first few rounds of the draft.

I'd love for Ted to sign this guy. But still, he'll likley go one of the west coast teams that have shown interest. The Giants would just be wasting money because if they signed Canty, they'd have: Osi, Robbins, Cofield, Tuck, Bernard, Kiwanuka and him on the d-line alone. That's wasting money I think for players who are starting caliber, but don't get to do it.

TT will not get into a bidding war for Canty. He could be a good addition, but I don't think it will happen. Ted Thompson is all about finding the diamond in the rough at a cheaper rate, which I agree with, but when our D was that bad last season and we are switching to a 3-4 with incorrect personnel we have to spend some money if we expect to be contenders. Harrell, Chillar and company are not the answers for this D.
