I'm with you man.

edit: I'm with you on the concern about our "other" OLB... I don't know how to feel about barnett.

From what I saw from Bishop last season I think he'll develop into starter, given some time. He is aggressive and plays with a passion, if can just generate that into onfield performance he'll be great. He just needs to learn and have more experience.

I have complete faith in Barnett at MLB, my concern is the OLB opposite Kampman.... If we dont get a good pass rusher for that spot, this defense will not be what everyone is expecting it to be.

I agree - why I really want GB to draft a OLB/DE tweener for thier 9th pick.

As far as barnett he was our best LBer IMO till his injury. And if he will be back at 100% after his rest then he'll we our starter IMO.

you guys must have forgotten what this guy can do

I'm with you Dulak. The defense underperformed and was just off all year, but Barnett is an extremely good MLB. I like the 3-man rotation of Barnett/Hawk/Bishop. Bishop on short yardage downs.

Jeremy Thompson is a 3-4 OLB. Of course he's not starting material, but a solid backup. We really need to get a new player at the spot.

I know what Barnett can do. Also I know he has a really hard time getting off of blocks from the OL and FBs, which 3-4 LBers are going to get OL and FBs on them more than 4-3 LB would.

IMO Hawk and Poppinga had better season last year even before his injury. Barnett was put in the play making spot of Sanders defense and Poppinga and Hawk kept up even thought they were in role player spots in Sanders defense.

Poppinga was considered a DE/OLB hybrid when we drafted him.

Kampman played LB in college.

Hawk was considered by a lot of people to be better suited for the 3-4, if I recall. Something about LB has more time to react in a 3-4 compared to a 4-3.

IDK about Chillar o Barnett. Barnett is a speed guy, so if we keep the other o-line off of him, he will have a great season.
