Professional motorcycle rider Jeremy Lusk died Monday of injuries sustained in a crash in Costa Rica. The crash can be viewed below, but the video is very disturbing.

side note its the 2nd time he crashed on that trick both times he under rotated, Well it can be said he died doing what he loved just a shame that he was so young.

Makes you wonder how it doesn't happen more often, I mean the bikes and tricks are getting bigger and bigger..

I love watching the x-games just for these guys and they make everything look so easy, or when they crash they get up with just a little limp. I agree im very surprised you don't hear of more of these guys dying, but yet they talk about breaking their necks, backs and all these bones like its no big deal. Prayers go out to his family and friends.

Rider Myles Richmond, who also participated in the event in Costa Rica, told ESPN.com his version of what happened:

The event went on. I actually made top four in the finals, so we had to ride again. I couldn't go out there and do my regular run, so I just basically went out and did some whips. The riders were just in disbelief. We all know how tough Jeremy is and we were just trying to stay positive, but it was tough. We knew how bad his injury was, but we just didn't want to believe what had just happened. ... I thought that if anyone was invincible, it was Jeremy.

Thats terrible........you can tell he was gone as soon as he hit.
Thats very sad.

In the second one, he put his arms out, and tucked his head to the side.

In the one that killed him, he hit face first with nothing to cushion his blow.

I don't see how he even lived to the next day with the force that bent his head back that far. That in itself is amazing.
I would think that would have severed his spine.
