I actually saw reports saying he has turned down more money from 3 other teams but decided on Baltimore.

The Packers don't seem to like when family members don't stay quiet.

Not sure if we can believe this, but according to his father, Alexander would have re-signed with the Packers, of the Packers offered the same contract as the Ravens .

Per his father, the issue was that the Packers contract has the money tied up in roster bonuses, meaning that Alexander would have to actually stay healthy to get paid.

Where the Ravens contract has $4 million become guaranteed if he makes the week 1's 53 man roster.

To me, in other words, Alexander wasn't willing to bet on himself staying healthy, when Gute has been betting that the last four years and consistently losing on those bets.

Even if Alexander plays great, I can't fault Gute for this, as he supposedly offered Alexander as much or more money than he ended up signing for, and Alexander just wasn't willing to bet that he'd stay healthy when Gute has been doing that for years.

When a player is less willing to bet on themselves then a team, that's scary, and I'll admit, the Bakhtiari knee injury, and looking good in practice, and then not able to play has me scared, as that was seemingly the same thing happening to Alexander this last year... which was worse than previous years, which when he got healthy, he was clearly fully back.

What people seem to miss is that not a single organization felt JA was worth $8 mil a year. He has fallen THAT FAR.
He is 43rd in average contracts. Or a low CB2 if you ignore all the CBs that are still playing on their rookie contracts. In reality be his viewed as a CB3.
If he's healthy you might have something but will he be healthy all season long? My guess is that he will drag his butt out on the field week after week for Baltimore but I am not sure he would have done so for GB. Unless his is inactive for the game he will be on the field week 17.
