If the Packers can improve on offense and make a few moves in the offseason to enhance their defense, theyll be right back in the race.

Good article - I have a feeling kampman will be playing OLB and they will pick up a nice strong addition to the team as another OLB that can blitz.

I agree with our upfront D - most of our big D push over 300pounds and thats what is needed. People that can stuff the run and let the OLBs blitz or fall back as needed.

exactly as the previous poster talked about - if the opposing team knows what set up we are doing its very easy to plan against us - hence our poor play on D this year.

I'm getting pretty excited about what Dom is going to do with our D. And then with jenkins and Barnett back onto the field. Let alone some new draft/FA guys be nice.

What do you think should be done on the O side of things?

I disagree to a point.. this offense has got to become more balanced and more effective in running the ball consistently.

We rack up a ton of yardage and score points, but we lack in the ability to control the ball late in games and lessening the number of attacks the opposing offense gets.. not to mention the amount of time left for them to make an effective scoring drive.

To fix the offense, fix the line. Nonstop's stats show that even w/ the horrible line play, penalties, etc., the offense was still in the top half of the league, at least.

If you take away those penalties, get the line on the same page, and get them to execute, I have utmost faith the offense can be top-5 this upcoming year.

We need some talent infusion (whether that comes from outside or just improvement of guys like Sitton who are already there matters not), and then we need better coaching on the line.

I'll put my line in the sand now: Anyone who wants to spend draft picks or FA money on RBs or wideouts should just stick to Madden. I could maybe see bringing in another TE, and possibly a veteran QB for the bench, but that's it.

I agree, but I think that falls more in line with Mike McCarthy's play calling than it does the talent on the team. I was impressed with Brandon Jackson all year and I hope he sees more carries next year or this year I guess.

It will be interesting how Ryan Grant responds this year after a full off season of not worrying about his contract and hopefully being healthy.

I got most of it from reading what you and Nonstop and others have written about it, so your thumbs-up should be as much or more for yourself. About the O-line, I mean, the rest is just common sense - anyone who would use up a draft pick or FA money on skill positions is the kind of person who clearly doesn't get the concept of a budget. We have real needs on defense and O-line - we're good otherwise, IMO.

It's not very wide. Of course, Thompson will make me crazy and draft another flippin' receiver or something, but that's what a GM's for.

I'd wig about Crabtree, as well. If the Lions have shown us anything, it's that you can miss on a "can't miss" wideout in the first round, and if there's one thing we've got it's wideouts.
