If Jones does not re-sign, I would rather get a rookie or two and spend the money at MLB or tackle at this point

Jacob's had 1 great year, 2022, he has never averaged 5 yds a carry.
2023 missed 4 games, ran for just over 800yds, 6tds, avg yds per carry 3.5.
Does he know Lefleurs system?
Can he protect Jordan Love?

Hell if Gute wanted a rb who averaged 3.5 yds per carry, he could have resigned A.J. Dillon for a lot less.

So in 2024 If Jacob's has a repeat of 2023, who's gonna be the blame?

Probably the O-line, which is going to need a revamp now.

I would be shocked if Jones comes back. They can pick up a RB in the 4th round. (PLEASE GUTE NOT THE 3RD ROUND.)

Better to draft a backup RB than to go FA route again.

I won't be shocked if he's not a good player anymore because RBs can fall off a cliff. But I think he'll bounce back in a MLF offense with Jordan Love and two good TEs that need to be respected as receivers when they line up in heavy sets. Health is the biggest concern for me, boy would it have been nice to have two really good RBs that can't quite play 17 games a season.

I don't look at the OL situation as dire. Bahktari has barely played in 3 years, so it's not like they're losing something major there. Walker came on strong over the second half, if he can build on that they may have something there.

Sean Rhyan is probably as good as Jon Runyan. And I expect 2 or more out of their 11 draft picks to be OL. Maybe take an OT in the first couple of rounds? Just please... please, no more Royce Newman.

Jones started becoming an injury concern every game.

I like how people yell when the Packers don't go after free agents and complain when they do. I read a report that stated that the Packers didn't have to release Jones but it sounds like it was a done deal once Jacobs was signed.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Don't tell the team we can't afford to pay a rb 12mil a year, then turn around and sign "an average" running back to a 4year, 48mil contract.

Then turn back around and release a guy who , in good faith, is trying to renegotiate his contract that you totally fucked up by adding void years and restructuring.

GUTEKUNST WAS WRONG, HE'LL NEVER SAY IT .
HE WOULD RATHER HURT THE TEAM, THAN ADMIT HE FUCKED UP!!!!

Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yep. You can do that with holding down ENTER on a command in Console of browser
