Different defenses have different terms on what they call the 3-4 middle linebackers....some call the strong side "Jack", some call it "Ted" and I am sure there are tons of other terms for strong side middle and weak side middle linebacker.
The reason so many offensive teams change strength is to screw around with defensive assignments. One can readily understand why MLF likes to run lots of motion (and a mystery to my why Rodgers did not like to run motion.)

Yeah, I don't know why Rodgers and his big brain couldn't or didn't want to adjust to that. Other than I think he wanted less moving part, so the defense would stay put and he could study the chess board.
Also, Rodgers liked Mike McCarthy isolation system, where you get all the targets into their own matchups and you let the QB find the best matchup/route for the matchups.
Vs the Wide Zone scheme often using a lot of combo routes to trick the defense, relying more on the scheme and the team than the QB. Which obviously Rodgers trusted himself more than he trusted scheme or large group of others.
But one could simply run the same isolation scheme, with a motion first.
