This is from a long time ago now, but I remember when Punter Jon Ryan was trying to go to a special kicking guru.

First he requested for the Packers to pay for it. That was declined.

Then he requested permission to go to it, while paying for it himself, that got declined. He needed permission because he's under contract.

All this was pissing off the ST coordinator whom thought he needed no outside help. And they released Ryan.... and then as a FA he went to the Kicking Guru was better for it.

Meanwhile, the ST coordinator got to retire at the end of the year... as he rejected an inconsistent punter for a consistently bad punter. And it seemed to be about ego.

I wonder if there's a difference between seeking a specialist for your physical ailments vs specialist that might contradict what your coordinator/coaches teach? You'd think whichever helped your team win would be the obvious choice. But I'm sure some egos get involved and pucker things up.

Tazim Wajid Wajed @NFLHitman33

Nope… Let those folks stay exactly where they are… Just had a 2-hour conversation with him yesterday, and the facts are that there are answers coming in that may very well help bring resolution to this hammy quandary…. I’m not sharing details, because that’s up to him and the Packers to reveal. But, the same folks talking shit now were riding the wave when he was tearing through defenses the 2nd half of his Rookie season, then in the Lions and Chiefs games this season.

However, who cares what these negative prognosticators say, who would pull a hammy in a max 20-yard 20 MPH sprint, if they could even be towed to such a speed? Simply put, players follow the programs given them by coaches, trainers, and doctors. Up until the last couple of years, it hasn’t been an issue… But, do these fools think he gets hurt on purpose??? 🤨 Christian has followed the programs given, and we now know there are some changes that need to be made.

HE WILL MAKE THEM… But, to debate with some of these folks about what he has shown when he actually is healthy doesn’t even matter. Anybody with common sense and eyes can see the matchup nightmare he presents to NFL defenses. So, let the pessimists stay exactly where they are!

THE NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS ARE ONGOING… so, he’s as excited, and tenacious at his work as ever in proving the Packers, himself, and his supporters right… Man fuck those detractors!!!

I think Mr. Hill deserves a big round or applause.

I am sure we have had some, but the number of hamstring injuries and groin pulls seems to me to be WAY down this year, concurrent with the arrival of Mr. Hill.

Here are some Green Bay Packers players who have had hamstring injuries in 2024:

Edgerrin Cooper
Linebacker who suffered a hamstring injury in December 2024

Carrington Valentine
Cornerback who was recovering from a hamstring injury sustained during training camp

Evan Williams
Rookie safety who suffered a hamstring injury while playing against the Jaguars

MarShawn Lloyd
Running back who suffered a hamstring injury while playing against the Bears

Can you pick up the trend?
All rookies or 2nd year guys.
The Packers had to send Watson and Stokes to specialists to figure out why they kept injuring their hammys..

Rookies don't get a chance to rest between their last college game and their first NFL game. Plus they have to "learn" how to take care of their bodies.
I'm sure Hil is doing a fine job, I just won't give any strength and conditioning coach credit for controlling any type of soft core injuries..
Gizzi was the "fall guy" last year, it was a convenient way to get rid of the old and Bring the new shiny toy.
I don't know why Teamms have to lay blame on. any type of coach to get rid of him. Just say you're going Ina different direction, thank them for their work and say so long.

I'm not sure where they blamed him there. And I swear I heard they had nothing against Chris, but they just wanted to go in a different direction. Which coincidently is what you're saying they should say. 🤷

There is a purpose for Strength and Conditioning. There has to be some way to evaluate whether they are doing sufficient at their duties. And meeting expectations. However, if the coach simply wants a new voice, that is not blaming, that is not saying they are the fall guy.

I'm saying, what I am saying.
I'm done saying it.
Fans want to blame soft core injuries on S & C staff, I don't care,

Jesus, we used to be able to discuss football subjects without having to explain every little detail.

dfosterf (16h) : I have some doubt about all that
dfosterf (16h) : I read De'Vondre Campbell's tweet this morning (via the New York Post) Florio says that if he invested his earnings wisely, he will be good
beast (20-Feb) : I haven't followed, but I believe he's good when healthy, just hasn't been able to stay healthy.
dfosterf (20-Feb) : Hasn"t Bosa missed more games than he has played in the last 3 years?
Mucky Tundra (19-Feb) : He hasn't been too bad when healthy but I don't feel like I ever heard much about when he is
Zero2Cool (19-Feb) : Felt like he was more interested in his body, than football. He flashed more than I expected
Zero2Cool (19-Feb) : When he was coming out, I thought he'd be flash in pan.
Mucky Tundra (19-Feb) : Joey seems so forgettable compared to his brother for some reason
Zero2Cool (19-Feb) : NFL informed teams today that the 2025 salary cap will be roughly $277.5M-$281.5M
Zero2Cool (19-Feb) : Los Angeles Chargers are likely to release DE Joey Bosa this off-season as a cap casualty, per league source.
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : If the exploit is not fixed, we'll see tons of "50 top free agents, 50 perfect NFL team fits: We picked where each should sign in March" lo

Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : It should be halted now.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : usually spambots are trying to get traffic to shady websites filled with spyware; the two links being spammed were to the Packers website
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : you know when you put it that way combined with the links it was spamming (to the official Packers website)
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yep. You can do that with holding down ENTER on a command in Console of browser
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : even with the rapid fire posts?
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : I'm not certain it's a bot.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : I've got to go to work soon which is a pity because I'm enthralled by this battle between the bot and Zero
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yeah, I see what that did. Kind of funny.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : now it's a link to Wes Hodkiezwicz mailbag

Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : that's why it confused the hell out of me
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yeah, but this is taking a headline and slapping it into the Packers Talk
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : Wasnt there a time guests could post in the help forum?
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : lol good question, kind of impressed!

Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : I thought Guests couldnt post?
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : And gosh that's gonna be fun to clean up! hahaa
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Oh. Why not just say that then? Geez.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : check the main forum, seems a spam bot is running amok
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : What?
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : Is the Packers online game "Packers Predict" now available for 2024? I can't tell
Zero2Cool (17-Feb) : Bengals planning to Franchise Tag Tamaurice Higgins
Zero2Cool (14-Feb) : Packers are hiring Luke Getsy as senior offensive assistant.

Zero2Cool (12-Feb) : Keisean Nixon is trying to get Maxx Crosby and Davante Adams lol
Mucky Tundra (11-Feb) : Yeah where did it go?
packerfanoutwest (11-Feb) : or did you resctrict access to that topic?
packerfanoutwest (11-Feb) : why did you remove the Playoff topic?
