Patrick Taylor wasn’t happy with how he was shunned by the Packers earlier this season. He’s back in Green Bay, though, and eager to help the Packers through some trying times.

I like Taylor. They simply can't keep everyone. If they had a roster with 100 players someone would still be on the outside looking in. I figure he will get 10-12 carries on Thursday. 40 yards.

They use his 3 PS elevations up, and let him continue to be on the PS. They need him again, so they sign him to the 53 man roster. Then after that one week, they released him, and refuse to re-sign him to the PS?

Why refusing to re-sign him to the PS?

They wanted to have a RB whom they could elevate from the PS... but Taylor is clearly more ready than RB Wilson. Taylor has been more helpful than the guy we replaced him with, whom is no longer on the roster. Taylor should of been allowed to be on the PS.

Sounds like a Belicheet loophole that would have been used by other teams. I had not seen other teams do this so I am a little skeptical.

In fact, if Taylor then had another 3 game day promotions, then why didn't the Packers re-sign him to the PS?

The best logic for not re-signing Taylor to the PS is that he was officially done with Packers game day promotions from the PS.

I have seen no examples given of the different PS loopholes, so until I see otherwise, I'm assuming that each team can elevate a player only 3 times per season. So Packers ran out of their 3 PS elevations for RB Patrick Taylor, and they can't do it with him again. Though maybe other teams each have 3 should he be on their PS.
