The Green Bay Packers are not in the WR market just to get some player who can catch a ball. They need a receiver who can produce at a high level. One of the most productive but somehow underrated and least-talked-about receivers in the NFL over the past eight seasons has been Brandin Cooks. Cooks,

Amari Copper was a 5th and 6th.

Another comparison is that Matt Ryan was traded for a 3rd. A solid QB is worth more than an above average (not elite) WR.

Cobb and a 5th.

I guess a 4th rounder? Esp if GB has to soak up his cap hit (16.2 million).

I think 5th rounder would be fair, and if he has a big contract, I would then say 6th or they pay some of the contract. If Packers really want him and give up a 4th, I wouldn't be upset. The guy is fast as heck and with good QB's produces pretty well.

Let's see Gutey pull a Rasul Douglas type dude out of his butt.

Btw, I expect DeGuara to take another step. Third year, see if he arrives.

His contact calls for him to get $13.7 million on a one year deal, based on that I'd give them the 7th rounder they gave us for CB Hollman.

If you want speed, MVS, Will Fuller, Sammy Watkins and Julio Jones are still FAs and the more teams stock up on WRs now, the less they desire them high in the draft.

PS: TE Jared Cook is still available and has speed, I think LaFleur could prefer a 2 TE system as they kept switching the depth chart to 2 TEs last year and that's what Kyle Shannon prefers to. Of course that could of also just been done so that team captain TE Lewis wouldn't be listed as a backup.

But 2 WRs and 2 TE over 3 Ws and 1 TE makes sense when you are down at WRs and up on TE depth.

buckeyepackfan (17h) : That brings up the question, why wasn't Nixon down by contact? I think that was the point Kanata was making.

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
