I wonder how Rodgers feels being the 2nd opinion for the Broncos lol. That will hurt his ego that's for sure.

I honestly think he will be fine but that's going to be one wild division for sure probably end up with all 4 in the playoffs lol except they have to play each other. The Broncos with a great qb with a high passer rating and loaded with a lot of young players on rookie contracts, then the Chargers are spending money and making moves Wilson Maholmes and Carr aren't going to like facing Bosa and Mack chasing after them. People are saying OBJ will be heading to the Chiefs. Then you have Buffalo NE Cinci and Tennessee all to deal with in the AFC and the NFC is all for the Rams taking again. It won't really matter what team goes it will be a dominant blowout for the AFC.

Anyone who thinks AR12 was the 'second option' for the Broncos is on crack.

The Broncos are putting out word Wilson was their first choice all along. And maybe it was pure coincidence the Wilson trade was finalized two hours after it was announced Rodgers was returning to the Packers.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I probably do. Some people think reporters never lie and never shill for an organization...they are totally virtuous, are always right, and that Company officials never lie to hide their own preferences or failures. The best example is draft day. All these front offices say, "he was the guy we REALLY wanted....we couldn't believe he was available." Further, some people believe that the other team's front office is virtuous, but ours are a bunch of liars. The truth is that everybody b.s.'s and I am calling b.s. that he was their top choice. They wouldn't have hired Hackett if Wilson was their top choice.

"The Broncos are putting out word Wilson was their first choice all along. And maybe it was pure coincidence the Wilson trade was finalized two hours after it was announced Rodgers was returning to the Packers."

Seriously, what do you expect them to say, "he was our second choice....our backup plan....and we finalized the deal after we found out we couldn't get AR12?!?!" They would have said the same thing about Cousins or anybody else they traded for.

You seem to discount the possibility that AR12 and/or his people were talking to the Denver front office and/or to AR12's favorite person in football, Hackett, the Denver head coach. When he/they gave them the courtesy of telling him they were sticking in Green Bay, they had the opportunity to execute a contingency plan.

Any front office of any team would be stupid to be honest and let everyone know what their ideas and plans were. That could backfire and blow up in their faces. like, how stupid would it be for the Broncos to say "We really wanted Rodgers, but had to settle on Wilson". How would that make their FO look?
