Everette Brown might not even enter the draft this year. I definitely would not pick him over Michael Johnson anyway.
Now, I'm not so sure I wouldn't want Eugene Monroe or Michael Oher in the first round and going after BJ Raji in the 2nd round. Raji is projected to be a 2nd round draft pick anyway, and he's not even the top rated DT in the country. Here are the top 5 rated DTs in the country:
1. Peria Jerry - 6'3" 295 lbs (Mississippi)
2. Fili Moala - 6'5" 298 lbs (Southern Cal)
3. B.J. Raji - 6'1" 325 lbs (Boston College)
4. Evander Hood - 6'3" 295 lbs (Missouri)
5. Alex Magee - 6'3" 295 (Purdue)

I could definitely see Raji going in the first round. He has the bulk to play NT in a 3-4, and could be a great run stuffer in a 4-3 as well. I just don't see him slipping. Terrence Cody and Gerrald McCoy could go a lot higher than some of those guys too.
As for the mock, Detroit's in a tough spot right now. I think they'll go the franchise QB route and pick Bradford or Stafford, but I can't help but think that they'll just ruin the kid if the line play in front of him doens't get better. I hope for their sake that Andre Smith is the guy, since after Crabtree he's probably the best pro prospect on the board. They can draft a QB next year when they're picking top 3 again, or maybe they find a way to get Cassel if Josh McDaniels somehow winds up in Mo-town.
I like the Brown pick in our spot. I'm definitely high on getting a pass rusher, and any of Orakpo, Brown, or Johnson would make me happy. With Clifton and Tausher getting older, I wouldn't be opposed to picking Jason Smith or Michael Oher in that spot either (I like Monroe too, but I feel he'll be gone at that point, possibly to KC).
