No one is talking about what the issue was, but Clark apparently talked with him and LaFleur thought he'd certainly get another chance in the NFL.
So, I'm totally randomly guessing that it's a mental issue (depression, addiction, anger issues)... and he was seeking help and treatment.
But I still wonder if there might of been other options, such Packers giving him a suspension and putting him on the suspension reserve list with pay (as he doesn't get any extra pay in the playoffs, unless he plays in the Superbowl) for the remainder of this year, to open up a 53 man spot.
