No he had one more pass after that one and made it, so he did end on a good note. He had a good season, but I hope he stays for at least one more with the Jets, I think they will be a better team next year.

You can't take away any game and then say he lost it. He had that game, period. You can't exclude something to come to a conclusion that fits your theory/opinion.

Fair enough. Even with the Arizona game padding his stats (one of the worst secondaries in the NFL), and he has still lost it. 2 TDs and 9 interceptions in the last five games (4 losses by the way). How's that for "fitting my theory"? Boy, that's sure a great season. ::roll:

Hey, I never said he had a great season. I believe I even posted stats that indicated his season was not good. 😞

Favre reverted back to the way he played under Mike Sherman. He had little control and just threw it up all the time. He had back to back games in which he played well and the Jets don't win without him. Those were at New England and at Tennessee, but beyond that I don't believe he's a good fit in New York.

I think if he plays, he'll play for Minnesota. I still think he wants to stick it to the Packers, but more than likely this is it.

Are you serious? How did he have a good season? And his game ended on a good note? WTF?

Heather, we've spoken quite a few times and I know you're not this silly goggle blind. I love the player as much as you, but to say he had a good season is absurd. He had a monstrous six TD game against the Cardinals which was trucking awesome!

Brett did not have a good season.

His last game he was 20/40 233 yards 1 td 3 int's. There was no good note Heather. 😞 Unless you want to say he was able to walk off the field under his own power and not with a serious injury.

For the season he has something like 3500 yards, 22 tds and 22 ints... that is not a good season. Favre is much better than that.

In a sense I hope he continues at least one more year because I'd like to see him go out on a TRULY good season. From his conferences since he got to NY though, I don't believe he feels he has one more good season in him.

"Heatherthepackgirl" wrote:

did he have fun? Did he enjoy the ride? He said he did..

He didnt get hurt to bad..Showed for at least for part of the season he could still fling the ball and was fun to watch

In those cases yeah it was a good season then i guess..

But I do not think he had a "good season"

good season would have been in the playoffs at the VERY LEAST

After all that is all he wanted to do is have one more shot..

But if he said he had a good seaosn, then I can't doubt him

He had a good season

With all due respect, I wish to say that this statement shows how low a standard fans hold Favre to, and how little accountability he has been forced to face in his career. Throwing 22 INTs and 22 TDs is not a good season, in my opinion.

Even if it's just the Packers' Management's selfish whims over having "won" the debate.

"TheEngineer" wrote:

"Selfish whims"? Are you serious? Dude, by any rational metric, the management made the right decision this year, and the season (win-loss record notwithstanding) has vindicated that. Even if Favre had lead the Packers to the same 9-6 record to which he lead the Jets, the Packers would have missed the playoffs.

You can't take away his six-touchdown game, but it is true that Arizona gave the ball back to the Jets seven times in their own territory. They had scoring drives start on the Arizona 49, 19, 40, 12, 49, 39 and 29, so that did artificially inflate Favre's statistics.

Incredibly, Warner threw for 472 yards in that game.
