Aaron Rodgers was sure to shoutout the members of the Green Bay Packers training staff who helped him out with a sore back on Sunday. He was also sure to make his stance known on the rule that players must stay in a hotel the night before home games.

Would LaFleur actually let Rodgers sleep in his own bed before home games?
"Well, Coach Rodgers and I will have a discussion after this, I'm sure," he said with a smile. "We'll talk about that in-house."

Man up and admit you are getting older Aaron. Old people hurt their back putting on their shoes or sneezing or even sleeping in their OWN beds. Staying at the hotel is meant to develop team unity and cohesiveness.

I don't know if it's just Aaron who wants to sleep in his own bed. AJ Hawk mentioned on McAfees show that he would wake up as early as allowed (5 am I believe) and simply go home and go back to sleep in his own bed before waking up on game day. Of course, that might be why Hawk was slower than any other LB in the league.

Maybe LaFleur should offer to buy Rodgers bed, so they can put it in the hotel 😜

That hotel (which I believe they're been using for decades?) shouldn't be unfamiliar to Rodgers at this point, and I believe I've read he and Crosby have roomed together for years.

I might trust Rodgers to sleep at home, but there has to be clear rules... and I wouldn't trust the average players to not party before one of the games all season long...

Though I would think those most effected would be the giant players.... which Rodgers is not.

This probably wouldn't make some happy, but if they were to consider it, then they could say players with 15+ years plus NFL experience can do it.... which would be Rodgers, Crosby and Lewis.... but they're also team captain, shouldn't they lead by example?

Next in experience are the former Texans in Cobb with 11 and merciless with 10.

On the one hand, I get wanting to sleep in your own bed. Especially before doing something physically exhausting. I make a lot less than even the lowest paid NFL player, and my bed is much nicer than any bed I've ever stayed at in a luxury hotel. And I've stayed at significantly nicer hotels than exist in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Most hotel beds suck. But it's not only quality of bed, it's familiarity - who doesn't sleep better when they're at home?

On the other hand, if you're making over 20 million dollars a year, you should be able to sleep in moldy old cot at a motel 8 and not complain about it.

You can’t have two sets of rules in regard to some staying in hotels and others not staying in hotels.
The Packers make enough money to buy those hotels outstanding mattresses
