Jacksonville to host New Orleans Saints' opener against Green Bay Packers

The New Orleans Saints will "host" the Green Bay Packers at Jacksonville's TIAA Bank Field on Sunday, Sept. 12, while the city of New Orleans continues to recover from Hurricane Ida.

The NFL announced Jacksonville as the alternate site for the game, which will still kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET as originally scheduled.

I heard this on the radio a bit ago too. I was hoping they were lying. The Packers didn't play starters much and they are not going to have the stamina. And now you put them in the humidity and heat? This is an L.

More than likely there will be as many Packer fans in the stands. Perhaps more.
Saints rested their starters in preseason as well. (Not as much but some) so they won't be in mid season form either.
Let's look at the humidity factor- Green Bay claims to have the advantage in cold weather not it hasn't been as evident since building the indoor practice facility. Even when they "open the doors" during practice it is not the same as the teams in the past who were outside all practice long. The Saints don't practice outside. Now that they are in Jerry World I am not sure where they are practicing but it is not the same as Jacksonville weather. The heat/humidity in Green Bay in early September may not be Florida but it is noticeable. Will it be all that much different? Especially when you factor in the game starting at 4:25 ET. As the game goes on and the stamina wears out, the temps will be dropping.

It’s been hot and humid all summer in Wisconsin.
And it will be just as hot and humid for the Saints.
They play in a dome, so it shouldn’t be an advantage for them weather wise.
